Places you dream of going.

Let's see:
* I want to climb Mount Fuji for bragging purposes. Don't tell anyone it's really an easy climb with rest stops along the way. Would want to check out historic Kyoto while I'm in Japan too.
* Want to tour Germany and see all the wonderful castles...and get shitfaced.
* Not Catholic (or even religious) but I want to see the Vatican. Love the architecture.
* Want to go to the Calgary Stampede.
* Hell...Michigan.
 
I just really want to see snow. I love snow so much, it was something that never existed where I live but I was just fortunate enough to see it for the first time as a five year old when I went to Germany.

But its been more than 10 years since I actually got to experience it. Ski Resorts unfortunately cost a lot for someone like me.

It always sounds strange to me when hear of people not being familiar with snow. While I on the other hand cannot imagine living in a place where there's like only two seasons, or constant weather throughout the year - it has to be four clearly defined seasons to me (and in Central Europe the seasons are VERY clearly defined).
 
Another planet, and outer space in general.
I'd also like to visit Finland. I'd quite like to move there, and no, not so I can live off benefits.

Kinda wish to visit the Visayas of the Philippines, specifically go to Iloilo again. Also like to see Brazil (Maybe say hi to Dork of Ages if I somehow crossed paths with him.) I'd also like to visit the U.K. and enjoy the sights there and even go to Poland to see the Białowieża Forest.

We no want turistas here, gringo.
But seriously, if you decide to go to Brasil, there are many places to visit, lots of people to meet, and many things to do. It is a big and diverse country, after all.

About the places I want to go, I am pretty sure there is another thread just like this one somewhere. I will just go and copypaste them when I feel like it *yawn*
 
I want to move to the Minneapolis area when I transfer colleges. I moved around a lot when I kid and when I was in the military so it's not really a problem. I know we have a couple users from Minnesota, so maybe someone could give me insight on what it's like there. It has some really nice suburbs.

As for out of the US there is 4 places I really want to visit.
1. Tokyo
2. London
3. Moscow
4. Seoul
 

I love creepy places. My friends and I occasionally go check out places we hear are haunted or have some creepy urban legend tied to them. Mostly we find nothing except for the occasional gathering of would be satanists.

I love travelling around Finland though, especially by boat. There's still many places I haven't been and atleast 180 000+ lakes I haven't fished at.
I'd also like to visit Scotland, Italy, Tibet, China and Japan.
 
I've always wanted to go to Japan for one reason. To stop off at the base of the sacred Mount Fuji to collect some of the finely-ground iron ore that has washed down over the eons off it. Then to Hawaii for some of the black sand from the Punaluu beach, and a short stop on the Yucatan peninsula to hunt for about twenty pounds of meteorite fragments.

Then to home. To set up a smelter to make my tamahagane, and then forge blades made of moonlit beaches, the bones of mountains, and shooting stars.
 
Oh goodness, let's see...

  • In Japan: Kyoto, Nara, Aokigahara/Mt. Fuji, Osaka (specifically wanna go to Pokemon Center Osaka at least once eheheh), basically anywhere I haven't already been and also back where I've already been (though I could live without ever returning to central Chiba unless it's for the amazing fries at my favorite Family Mart there)
  • Italy (Venice/Murano, Rome, anywhere gorgeous really wow)
  • Germany
  • Switzerland
  • Belgium (for waffles and chocolate ehehe)
  • Estonia (I've heard Tallinn is gorgeousssss)
  • Any of the Nordic countries (esp. Sweden, Denmark, Finnish Lapland, etc....)
  • London (I've been to England/Scotland for a pilgrimage but never to London)
  • Speaking of which I also wanna go to Stonehenge on a summer/winter solstice sometime...
  • Not sure I want to do too much in Egypt but I'd like to at least see the Pyramids...
  • Australia maybe
  • Maybe Antarctica lolidk
  • There aren't many places I want to see in North America that I haven't already been to, but I'd like to visit Alaska someday~ Oh, and maybe I'll drive out to Centralia one of these days...
Not to be a buzzkill to those of you who want to go to Tokyo, but in a lot of ways it's very very similar to NYC, so if you've been to the Big Apple and are expecting something extremely unique from Tokyo, you might be a little disappointed. tbh the first time I went to Tokyo I stepped out of the train station and was like "wait this is just NYC" haha~ But it definitely does have a bit of a different nuance, which can be more or less obvious depending on where you go.
 
I promised a friend that both him and I would go to the more rural side of Japan someday.
