It's sod season in Texas. She's just participating in the annual yard remodel party. Individuals who work for large sod companies often get cheap off cuts and sell them by the piece on the side of the road/in the Lowe's parking lot to scrape a dime off the uneducated passerby. I'm seeing a lot of trailers with pieced out turf right now. King Ranch has a huge sod farm near me, it's a crazy business, considering how much water is needed and how little natural groundwater Texas has left. But that's a rant for a different thread.
