You know a lotta Cows on here have the deck really stacked against them and go over the edge into the lolcow canyon because of their own stupidity compounding things. For example, CWC had crappy parenting, autism, etc and made it worse by Sonichu and everything he does online. He was never going to be a traditional "success" at life even if he made good decisions but he wouldn't have had the last 8 years happen.

However with Pixy its just more depressing in that she's almost 100% done it to herself. When she hit adulthood she wasn't an unattractive person, she's not mentally deficient (by clinical definitions), she's not autistic as far as we know, she has parents that do a lot to help her (including living with them at 30+). Its...I dunno I just feel bad for Pixy cause of all the cows here she COULD for the most part turn her life around by doing 2 or 3 simple things. But for years she just keeps sabotaging herself. I mean even if she put minimal effort below that of a normal person in it would work. Take a bath 3 or 4 times a week. Keep your weeb shit private and on the weekends. Get a room mate and have a crappy 3/4 time job. That would fix 90% of her problems and would still be her 1/2 assing it as she is wont to do.


TL;DR Its sad that Pixy is the most "almost normal" lolcow with a good family support system but is a cow entirely because of her own decisions.

Nothing horrible, for an underwear company I'd imagine they're given the measurements and they have to work out what bra size is needed for the example. I can imagine Pixy giving much lower cup sizes because desu desu kawaii.

I'm just imagining a boob measuring device like the foot measure thing at the shoe store, only the boob one has a bunch of cranks and verniers and clamps and Pixys just sweating bullets trying to get it on the training dummy right, it slips out of her hand and falls on her supervisor's foot, breaking it.
 
Totally forgot that one of my friends works at V.S.; so I asked him about working there. He says that if she did a Training Day 1, then she should have been told when her T.Day 2 and T. Day 3 are being held. Each store has certain times put aside just for training. Granted, with the Holiday time coming around, training might not be every day, it might be once a week. Apparently, they also have bra specialists, which takes a Training Day 4 and a test from the "Victoria Secret University". According to my friend, "It's horrible... and on an ipad...". So unless she's taken T. Day 4 (bra training) then she's not giving people, or at least not suppose to be giving people, advice on their bra sizes. Her job is to stand there, look good for the company, do inventory, do check outs, and help people find bras that might not be on the shelves. If she can't do that, then they'd have no problem dropping her if she's just Holiday help.
 
Who knows? Until Pixyteri actually posts more. I'm just postulating that if one of the requirements for working at VS is looking good for the company she doesn't stand a chance.

And that will be a potential problem every single time PT tries to get a job. Granted, not every place of business is going to google a person, but all it takes is that one employee to google her name, for any reason...and it's over for PT.
 
I imagine most employees at VS would be of the age to be heavily involved in social media. Pixy isn't exactly subtle on her online accounts. I don't think they'd let a seasonal worker go because of those pics (probably not keep her on after though), but I think it's just a matter of time before her coworkers find them.

Most companies aren't stupid enough to come out and say it but it doesn't mean they don't take physical characteristics into consideration during the hiring/interview process. Ever notice how there are no overweight girls working at Hooters and other similar places? Or how almost everyone who works at Abercrombie and Fitch is a fratboy-looking d-bag? A place like VS, which sells clothing designed to make women look attractive, is going to want to hire people who look good while wearing their products.

A certain "look" is often a requirement for certain jobs or roles. And that is legal. Think Miller Lite girls. Think Hollister employees. Think actors. So it's no surprise that VS wants its employees to look appealing and pulled together. On a good day, PT has proven she can do that and then some. Most days, she hits the "deluded and disheveled" mark.

Even someone whose look isn't conventional can still make a living in looks oriented fields if they are professional, friendly, clean, and competent. Again, PT can do that if she puts her mind to it.

How much of Pixy's pain is self-inflicted? I know a lot of her stuff gets archived, but if she deleted everything she uploaded herself, it seems like her Google results would be much less damning.

Case study would show you that there HAVE been jobs that have gotten away with requesting and hiring only good looking people. Granted, they can't fire someone (usually) for being unattractive, but they can refuse to hire someone for any number of reasons.

Hooters requires all their girls to have big breasts, A &F also have an "image" that they wish to maintain, you wouldn't like a 400lb man trying to sell your workout dvds (because you have an image). Victoria Secret has an image they want to maintain, and that image is pretty people and sexy people.
