In the series the two characters do actually end up married and having children later on, which raises a lot of questions about Sesshomaru's intentions in keeping this little girl around and a lot of questions on wtf is Pixy's goal here

Don't know the slightest shit about animu, but I once taught a Japanese student named Rin, and there are two funny things about that:

1. "Rin" (凜) is a super-manry name.
2. Rin was almost certainly gay, and essentially a proto-troon gender-special himself, right down to his usage of feminine mannerisms which even young women his age considered outdated ― covering one's mouth while speaking, for example.

Rin was a good, and well-put-together kid, otherwise. Unlike Pixy-tan.

From the anime/manga Inuyasha. Rin was a little mute orphan girl that found Sesshomaru, a powerful dog demon & half brother of the titular protagonist, when he was half dead in the forest. Rin fearlessly cared for him despite his outspoken disdain for humans & eventually nursed him back to full health. Then, when her village was attacked by demon wolves & she was killed, Sesshomaru resurrected her with his magical blade Tenseiga. Rin regained the ability to talk & latched onto following Sesshomaru on his journey along with his little goblin lackey Jaken. From what I can recall from the manga, Sesshomaru was pretty apathetic towards Rin but never complained about her following him, and learning that they do in fact marry & have children in the end kinda ruined the “awh she brought out his humanity” aspect of her character.

TL;DR: Sarah wants to rescue an impoverished young girl & groom her to be her bride/baby mama. Thank you all for tolerating my weebness.

Oh, some older anime have been getting kinda popular again because they're free to stream and show up on pretty much almost all streaming sites.

If it makes the old weebs feel any better, YashaHime (the spinoff/sequel of InuYasha where Sesshomaru and Rin have children together) is dubiously canon. The original author, Rumiko Takahashi, had zero involvement.
