Anyone else notice the (what I'm presuming is) junk food sitting literally right behind her?

I kind of wonder if PT is purging, rather than starving herself.
They look like 2 stacked empty cup noodles and a noodle bowl maybe? Her room must smell like old ramen. Unless she ate them all in one day they've accumulated over time.
Also maybe her mysterious stomach/chest pains and headaches are symptoms of purging?

A while ago, I thought Pixy was looking good (like with that fishing picture of her in the green outfit) but yes, now she's gone beyond healthy. Just about everyone else here seems to be right about malnourishment, crash dieting, etc etc. She really needs therapy/counseling.

I hope not. That could potentially do MORE damage... :(

Not necessarily. Yes, bulimia is known for the damage it can do to the teeth/esophagus from vomiting, but at least food gets to the stomach, and something, at least a little, is absorbed before the purge. Anorexia on the other hand, offers the body no chance to get ANY nutrition other than what little the anorectic eats, if anything at all.

Thing is, I really doubt she'll get therapy for this. She's acting like its the best thing in the world and no one on facebook is telling her to stop.

Not sure how it works in America, but aren't people pretty much forced into some form of therapy if they're hospitalized for self harm of any sort (including starving oneself), or at least kept there until doctors are satisfied they aren't likely to try again in the near future as a thing for their own safety?

They might force her in but someone would have to report it first. Her parents don't seem either care, least not that I know of, or notice. Neither do her brothers. Her Facebook "friends" keep telling her that she looks great and congratulate her. Till someone says something nothings gonna happen.

This might be an unpopular opinion, but I'm not sure Pixy is hurdling into Fit Vegan Ginger territory just yet. I think people are forgetting how short Pixy is. Isn't the going stat that she's around 5 feet? If Pixy is using a BMI chart to guide her weight loss, 130 lbs still puts her in the "overweight" category. Her current goal of 125 puts her teetering on the upper end of "normal".

Granted, her losing so much weight so quickly is cause for concern. I'm thinking the more likely endgame for this venture is that she'll hit her goal weight, stop her crash dieting, and start to yo-yo back up as a result because she hasn't been able to set up a sustainable life style change.

I don't think anybody is specifically concerned about the poundage. It's the apparent physical problems she's showing that seem consistent with some kind of eating disorder, or at the very least some malnourishment. Her skin looks terrible, her colouring is distinctly sallow, and she claims her skin feels thin and that she's bruising way more easily and taking longer to heal than she's used to. Her hair was never luxurious, but it's looking more lifeless and limp than it used to. (Which admittedly could just be due to her notoriously bad hygiene.) The body doesn't just do these things for no reason. They're well known signs of starvation and vitamin deficiency, whether intentional or not. She might be developing an active eating disorder, or she might be accidentally starving herself because she doesn't know better.

130lbs doesn't mean anything when it's 130lbs that isn't being fuelled properly.

BMI is extremely flawed. If she had been losing weight in a good, healthy way she would have gained muscle mass and not had lost so much so quickly. The muscle mass could have even made her heavier!

Pixy may not have a BMI that says she is of an unhealthy weight (yet), but the fact of the matter is that she is quickly hurtling towards that point and is obviously gaining no muscle mass, which proves that she is not losing the weight in a sustainable, healthy manner. :(

Like I said, Pixy is crash dieting and will balloon back up. I don't think she has an eating disorder just yet and I don't think she's in danger. Her skin has always looked terrible and she's always complained about random pains.

With Pixy she is on the extreme end of everything.

I suspect that rumors of Pixy's eating disorder are greatly exaggerated.

I'm pretty sure she's using some kind otc stimulant to loose weight for a couple reasons. We all know how good her self control is, and she would just fucking melt down if she were hungry all the time. Besides, she's lazy as shit and seems much more active lately, I'm not willing to believe that's a change she made on her own. Her skin has always looked like shit so that's not new, and a lot of women are iron deficient so I don't know that her bruising easy is cause for much concern either especially if she's dieting by cutting out red meat and not eating enough greens.

No one of those things would be noteworthy if they were absent any other symptoms. But they're happening all at once in conjunction with unusually rapid weight loss. Something is not quite right with Pixy's health at the moment. Is she pre-recovery Portia de la Rossi or Mary Kate Olsen? Of course not. I'm not even convinced she's actively anorexic. But people smarter than Pixy have accidentally put themselves at risk with unhealthy dieting and vitamin deficiency, and the body doesn't differentiate between deliberate and inadvertent malnourishment.

I still suspect she's gone on a low carb ketosis diet such as the Cambridge. It's very rapid weight loss- 5st in three months isn't unusual- with some hellish side effects. Dizziness and passing out, hair loss, heart palpitations, chest pains, stomach issues, sallow skin, insomnia, and those are the milder ones. You do get a very drawn lollipop headed look from it as the loss is so quick the body takes time to reproportion itself. Also, because of how quickly your body shrinks, you enter a kind of dysmorphia where your mind still envisions a fat person even though you can logically see the loss from clothes etc. It's not unusual for the person to zone in on one area and fixate on it- like Pixy has done with her breasts.

Late reply, but, in Florida, we have Florida Statute Chapter 394, Part I, also known as The Baker Act, where a person can be involuntarily committed for evaluation for 72 hours. I assumed there would be an equivalent in Texas, but there isn't. Somebody [likely Pixy's parents or brother] would have to apply for a mental health warrant. Otherwise, they can't hold her involuntarily, since O'Connor v. Donaldson made doing so illegal.

TL;DR
Pixy can't be forced to get treatment, even if she has an eating disorder, because it's considered false imprisonment.

Well, this pretty much cements it for me. I had my suspicions that she was starving herself, but the pictures don't lie. She can talk all she wants about eating healthy and working out, but she has no muscle mass or tone at all. Plus with how rapidly she's losing weight, there's really not many more explanations (she could have cancer, but I doubt it).
Agreed. Those are not the arms of a "healthy" woman, with a workout routine. It's more apparent in the spine-twist photo, she's still got some serious bingo wings.

My opinion? She's taking dodgy diet pills from some Asian import site, they're probably unregulated, and she's a hypochondriac, so she's hyper-aware of any side effects and changes to her body. Now... Do we think she's taking an appetite suppressant, or one of the pills that doesn't allow your body to absorb fat? The concept of the latter ones really grosses me out, a main side effect of them is "anal leakage."

Her skin looks like that because she lost a shittone of weight very quickly, and she's over 30 now. She's been fat pretty much ALL her life, her skin is stretched to cover a 200lb Pixy and she's too old for it to have retained elasticity :epik:

Since this is Pixy, the woman that ate a whole cookie cake by herself and we saw junk food in one of her pictures I kinda doubt she's taking an appetite suppressant. If its the other then with the knowledge of that side effect i'm crying myself to sleep tonight.
