I didn't even notice my join date was pink.
I heard of Kiwi Farms for a long time, finally took a look at it when the Kris Tyson drama popped off, got invested, and now I'm here. I also love internet forums and wish there were more active ones out there.
Additionally, I really like how countercultural KF is and the community here. Whenever I get upset at others for their abhorrent views, I just remember that there are people on KF who got my back, and that there is a space on the internet where not all is lost.

Yep, I was pleasantly surprised to find just a regular format internet forum be this active in the current year. Over the years I've seen internet forums I was in die a slow death with Q&A sites (stackoverflow/stackexchange), Reddit and alt chans taking their place. I'd pretty much accepted they were a thing of the past nearly a decade ago when I begrudgingly joined reddit for some tech stuff I needed help with.

Fully unmoderated AI is definitely a fun concept, I think it would just end up hating everyone if given enough data from several different groups.
The machine would realize that the problem of men is man itself. I know this is a concept done to death in all stories, but I'm genuinely convinced of it.
 
The farms are like a piece of the old internet that I desperately cling onto, been lurking here for years before I made an account. I have a couple other haunts like it.

Funnily enough, the one evil AI trope character that I actually like is AM who is ironically way more human than most others of his kind. Honestly just love how petty and hateful he's written.
 
Lurked on and off, felt tempted to make an account in 2020 but changed my mind. 4cuck somehow got shittier, and I stopped lurking there, but I had nowhere to go. The historical pictures thread tempted me for the longest time and I finally made this account, and I do not regret it. It's nice to have a place to discuss music and history without a troon coming in and screeching, or Ranjeet and Carlos larping about who's the whitest.
 
Well, because the quality of the content posted here is (marginally) higher than 4chan, and instead of getting banned for 3 days for something stupid people will just tear you to shreds and hold you accountable for your actions. Also, while I'm not someone who cares about building an online "persona", it's nice to kinda make acquaintances here and recognize people. This is probably one of the last semi-traditional forums still standing that isn't a wasteland.
 
Lurked off and on from before 2016. Mostly when a lolcow gained greater notoriety and the farms were linked from other sites
I would stick around for a few weeks each time but the regulars back then were a bit too autistic for me. With the great political purge of 2016 onwards and the general dying of the old Internet I made my first account. Then I would forget the password or lose access to whatever disposable e-mail I used to register with.

This is actually my first forum I've ever joined. 4chan had become too faggy for me sitewide and people are gassing it up as the "armpit of the internet" and too edgy for mainstream
I checked this forum out of curiosity when I watch Genosamuel's autistic documentary vidoes on Chris chan
the rest is history
