Pineapple does not belong on pizza, period. When you bite into a pizza, there should be tomato sauce, meat, vegetables, and herbs on that crust, and that's it.

There's literally nothing wrong with Hawaiian pizza, which includes pineapple, it's very good.

Maybe you wouldn't want pineapple on regular pizza, I don't think I've tried it, I probably wouldn't add it to regular pizza, but knowing how it is on Hawaiian it's probably fine and people are being silly by acting like it's some big deal.
