US Pfizer will require U.S. employees to get Covid vaccine or undergo weekly testing

• The new initiative will "best protect the health and safety of our colleagues and the communities we serve," Pfizer spokesperson Pamela Eisele said in a statement to CNBC.
• Pfizer, whose Covid vaccine with German drugmaker BioNTech was the first to be authorized in the United States, is just the latest company to require its employees to get the shots.

Pfizer said Wednesday it will require all its U.S. employees and contractors to get vaccinated against Covid-19 or participate in regular weekly testing.

The new initiative will "best protect the health and safety of our colleagues and the communities we serve," Pfizer spokesperson Pamela Eisele said in a statement to CNBC.

"Outside the U.S., the company is strongly encouraging all colleagues who are able to do so in their countries get vaccinated," Eisele added. "Colleagues who have medical conditions or religious objections will be able to seek accommodations. Colleagues are still required to adhere to all COVID-19 state, local and Pfizer safety procedures while engaged in Pfizer work."

Pfizer, whose Covid vaccine with German drugmaker BioNTech was the first to be authorized in the United States, is just the latest company to require its employees to get the shots. The mandates come as coronavirus cases in the U.S. spike once again, fueled by the highly contagious delta variant.

On Tuesday, New York City became the first major city in the U.S. to require proof of vaccination at restaurants, gyms and other businesses.

A new CNBC All-America Economic Survey published Wednesday found Americans are sharply divided over vaccine mandates.

The poll of 802 Americans taken from July 24-28 found 49% favoring vaccine mandates and 46% opposing — a difference that's within the survey's 3.5 percentage point margin of error. Five percent said they were unsure.

Hey, I have this product I'm selling and I have a lot of money and influence. With that money and influence, I've been able to secure contracts with governments and lawmakers. Anyone who refuses, we just use our attack dogs (media, social media) to go after them.
The gov gives us money, we give them the product, they retain un-elected power that's never ending and we have a never ending source of money.

We made it so that people were forced out of their jobs and lost their businesses. Big corporations flourished thanks to our pals in the government.
People can't work for themselves, but they can work for us, big corp and everyone needs a job right?
If you want a job though, you have to use our product. And updates to our product. If you don't, you'll have no job. Our pals in power will make sure that you have no freedoms or fallback either. Plus, the less jobs, the more inflation. Which means prices of food rises. How do you like them $1000 apples, huh?

Absolutely no conflict of interest here at all.
I’m surprised to see them do this and I’ll be very interested to see how it affects their hiring. Hiring in the drug industry at the moment is insane - I’m getting multiple approaches a week, today two recruiters, most days one. Any kind of brain drain from this will hit them hard. I’m actually looking to move companies at the moment, so that’s Pfizer or anywhere I’d be contracted out to them off the list…

A condition of it was "Don't report bad effects about this for 10 years". This was after all vaccine companies got whole and complete indemnity.

Things get even more fucky when you look at who's sponsoring who at unis/college and who's on the boards doing all the "advising" of governments and private companies. But we knew all of this at the start of this scamdemic. There's no separation of Gov and Pharma.

Honestly, if any corporation should compel its employees to get vaxxed, it is Pfizer (and Moderna, etc.). Those people work for a company creating this product that is being mandated everywhere. If it is so safe and effective, 100% of the employees should be taking it. It would be hypocritical of them NOT to mandate it.
