This is Pudge, he's my oranda. I got him about a month ago and he's really done well since then, his tail's doubled in length, he gained some weight and his color's exploded since I've been feeding him fresh veg, NLS and Hikari Gold Oranda.
I love this little fucker.

Unfortunately, my sisters cat Gordon had to be put to sleep earlier this week. He had pneumonia and kept having seizures. It was the kindest thing to do for the poor little guy. We went to the Humane Society yesterday (They were having a sale! $9 for 9 lives :3) and a cat chose her the second we walked into the cat room. He followed us meowing, and kept jumping onto the cat towers to get in the way anytime she tried to pet another cat. So, she obviously had to take him, as he had clearly chosen her.

Admittedly he could used a bigger one. I move in a few months so thought 10 would hold until then. Been scoping a 50 gallon on kijiji so I can get him a proper little school of buddies and a cory to help keep their waste controlled.

Don't get a cory, they like heated tanks and goldfish are coldwater. If you need a little shit eater get an apple snail

My tank is heated, I've kept it at 26c in summer to balance seasonal cycles, when fall hits fully I'm going to start dropping it to 20-22c. If I get the cory I'll be aiming for 24c the coming summer.
Either way I'm planing on some java fern and some eel grass as well in the future to help with water quality. I really don't want snails cause my tank isn't covered in a way that would keep them in and last aquarium I had, those guys would get out and end up dying all over the house. Not something I'd like to experience again.
