🐮 Lolcow Peter Rosiak - 92 year old man who willingly sent $2,000 to scammers

92 year old Peter Rosiak was called by someone claiming to be his grandson. They told him they got in a car accident and needed money. So Peter went to CVS and purchased thousands of dollars worth of gift cards and sent them the codes. Peter later learned that his grandson was completely fine and called the police, and he is very frustrated that he can't do much legally about it.

that's kind of sad that people are still falling for obvious scams, but i don't think it is threadworthy.
