If shady shit was happening on Discord. You end the Discord. Sorry, but when you open something to the public and the public misuses it, or become dependent on it in a unhealthy way. The best course of action is to end it and walk away. Learn from your mistakes. You don't endulge them further.

The other problem there is the level of control Tom wants to maintain with the project; regarding both Perry and the fans. This tiered approach of stratifying fans based on how much they contribute hasn't done PCL any favors. It's one thing to have incentives on patreon, but it's another thing to turn fans against each other because Tom's deemed someone criticizing the show doesn't contribute enough $.
