There are quite a lot of options out there for help with "porn addiction" or "sex addiction," which is what "flirting with the idea of kiddie porn" would fall under, so far as I am aware of there even being a slippery slope to pedophilia.

It's not illegal but I would agree that it's thinly cloaked pedophilia. I'm okay with banning things like making underage porn of actual children(like what shademan did) but idk about banning it if it's not referencing any real person. I think that's a bit far. It should definitely be discouraged though because it sucks I have to turn my brain off when I watch things like the Maid Dragon anime because there was a bunch of borderline pedophilia shit in it. Kinda was caught off guard since the show didn't market itself as if there was going to be any in it.

The past few years I thought the internet was starting to be safer for young kids. All of those stories from cops who came to our elementary and middle schools about stranger danger, creeps on AIM and myspace, etc. They even told us a local story of a predator who tried to kidnap a girl who he convinced to run away with him. He had a knife, rope, tape, etc. Fortunately, her mom called the cops before he arrived, and the girl was safe.

We thought because we've been informed, it would be safer on the internet. We thought creeps would be less prominent.

Oh how fucking wrong I was. This thread makes me cry.
