Papa John's is one of the biggest NFL sponsors and after claiming that the anthem protests were hurting their in game pizza sales they're considering dropping NFL sponsorship. They claimed the protests were poorly handled by the NFL and the issue should have been "nipped in the bud." As you can imagine people are pissed.

Now this is nothing unusual, people bitching about stupid shit on twitter is the reason this board exists. What truly makes this hilarious is even the media is filled with rage over a shitty pizza chain.

This is the fucking Washington Post. This is supposed to be a respectable paper but they're so angry about Papa John's that they ran a story about how much NFL players hate their pizza.

The New York Post is also very unhappy about this.

The Atlantic is claiming that the reason in game sales are down during NFL games is because their pizza is fucking nasty and so are you if you buy it.

I sometimes wish I could virtue signal by boycotting something but it's always something like Papa John's "pizza" which is like vomit on newspaper and you'd be better off eating the box it comes in.

Welp. No more Pizza Hut for me for a while. Papa Johns it is.

God forbid business takes precedence over someones retarded 'F U' to whatever the President posted on Twitter or whoever the fuck is boycotting a national "television tradition".

Gee maybe they dropped the deal because they don't want to get sales dragged down along with a league being dragged down by political shitstorms, and that exceptional reaction proves their point. They just want to sell pizza.
