Looks like it's birthday art for Kim NamJoon (KNJ) but yeeeesh. Even on a side-by-side with the pic she copied, he's not recognizable at all. Poor guy's emaciated as hell, but at least she didn't forget to give the guy her signature chinky eyes.

It's supposed to be depth in the shading, but it doesn't feel deep at all and just looks like leftover sauce.

It looks very much like that, I fully agree.
Paige, despite her lauding of being "woke", fails to realize that there are things you just need to avoid when drawing other people of varying ethnicities. Asian folks? Racist caricatures depict them with the slit eyes she has just drawn. Terrifyingly large lips with a black person is very reminiscent of caricatures where their lips take up 70% of their face... etc.
I'm not saying never draw an asian person with their eyes closed. I'm saying, give it some thought before you make their eyes flat slits.

Now, I assume it's the first pic that she started out with, followed by the second one that's meant to be "improvement." If so, I gotta say, I'm pretty disappointed.
It's not that I've liked her stuff all that much to begin with, but if there's one thing I can compliment her for, it's all of the detailed flora in the first pic. I'm admittedly a bit of a sucker for these types of illustrations: People juxtaposed against detailed plants. The flora in the follow up pic feel a lot less realized, as if they were lazily scattered across her body, and the background looks like some cheap wallpaper of a motel. What a waste.
And don't even get me started on that "improvement" with the body. Yikes.
