this is like the scene from lord of the rings where the war turns around after holding off a sacred bastion against overwhelming odds except instead its only a hundred orcs or so and they rape and kill everyone and take everything as plunder

No, it isn't.

I thought we were supposed to be making fun of tards who can only think in terms of pop culture analogies, not being them.

The Harry Potter analogies were getting stale, so people have switched over to another popular '00s franchise.

I practically predicted this in the Donald Trump megathread. You can see people calling each other Grima Wormtongue, Eomer, and a bunch of other names I can't spell.

That's why I like using terms from reality; it's less childish and often works more for what I'm describing.

It's why I think a better analogy for Ossoff getting wrekt is this would be like seeding a high school football team with professional athletes from the NFL and they still lose. Mainly because the coach is too busy doing rails of coke and yelling at his players to win rather than work on good plays.

If you said Hillary supporters were like Jacobites (trying to install a leader that only the elites and extremists supported long after the broader population stopped caring) they'd probably ask what children's novel it's from.

So... The Cleveland Browns theory of winning.

That's not a very valid comparison either, since the broader population supported getting rid of James II in the first place. William and Mary's takeover was dubbed the "Glorious Revolution" for a reason. Support for the Stuarts was a minority position from the outset, though more popular among the upper class, who were disproportionately Catholic.
