UN Orbán's Party wins absolute Majority in Hungarian Parliament Election - strongest opposition to Orban is a *further* right wing party lol

https://www.theguardian.com/world/l...orban-expected-to-win-third-term-live-updates

Here is how Hungary’s parliament will look, based on preliminary results with 75% of votes counted.

  • Fidesz-KDNP coalition 134 seats
  • Jobbik 26 seats
  • Socialists 20 seats
The remaining nine seats go to smaller parties.

And this is from Hungarian journalist, Andras Szabo.

Fidesz predicted to have constitutional 2/3 majority in Parliament again. Jobbik will be the strongest opposition party. Socialists, Democratic Coalition and LMP will also enter Parliament.

Apparently, Orban has manged to piss off Hillary Clinton, Angela Merkel, and Jean-Claude Junker. Now, I may know very little about Hungarian politics, but I have a soft spot for people that upset the neoliberals. At least with his reelection, Hungary should keep its anti-migrant border walls and maintain immigration laws that don't attract refugees and migrants like a moth to a flame.

A year or so ago I would never have thought Orbán's FIDESZ party would get elected third times in a row, but all the major opposite parties did such a good job at making themselves ineligible with their sheer retardness even Hillary Clinton'd be proud. Personally I can't stand Orbán, but his party was the only one with a clear program against uncontrolled migration, something all the other parties have failed to address. In fact, barely any of them had any clear campaign goals other than "vote for us cuz we ain't Orbán!". Gábor Vona, the figure head of the strongest right-wing opposition party Jobbik, is also worth mentioning thanks to his idiotic statements such as Islam being the sole ray of hope amids the swamp of globalism, reaching lolcow levels unheard of in Hungarian politics ever since Ferenc Gyurcsány, a nutcase with ties to Scientology who was our prime minister in 2004-2009 leading MSZP, our biggest (in name) socialist party. Naturally neither MSZP nor Gyurcsány's current party DK (Democratic Coalition) can be taken seriously anymore.

To sum it up, all the eligible candidates are various combinations of rotten, insane and incompetent, and despite the number of people showing up being a lot higher than four years ago, I can barely blame those who didn't bother to show up this time.

Oh, and another little titbit, while the whole immigration crisis was a huge blessing for Orbán, giving him the chance to both draw attention away from his own issues and build his whole election campaign around the one thing his party handles with some semblance of competence, he used to be supported by Soros' foundation back in his college student days. How things change!

Let’s not forget he wants George a Soros arrested for his various schemes and international crimes. Which is why Clinton, Merkel and Junker are against them. He’s going after their paymaster.

I'm a socialist but if I was European I would be tempted to vote for any party that is willing to deal with the mass immigration issue.

This was predictable. While I'm not happy with how corrupt Orban's party is, I fully support their antimigrant agenda and I am a strong anti eu supporter.

I'm happy to see the left is still crushed and in a half comatose state.

Orban went after migrants and Soros, when nobody dared. I say he earned this.

Just as his party went to the right, Jobbik went to the center, which really hurt them. They lost all their skinhead charm.

Personally their corruption is really bothering me.... but damn, lets stick it to Brussels. Better a poor free man than a slave kept docile by handouts. Better be ruled by a countryman than a foreigner. Our freedom is not for sale, EU!

Actually myself, I have no problem with Orban. His first term was AMAZING. But lately he really surround himself with a whole army of little rotten Clinton-wannabes. He isn't the problem, his cronies and yes men are.

For Orban and Soros... it takes a scheming jew to know one ;) .

Hungarian right wing party wins in landslide and keeps its 66% majority to change the constitution at will.

Huffington post is of course upset.

Funny thing is, the commie party's popular name is "maszop" aka "suckstoday" .

Chickens are more popular than left-wingers
One of the curious elements to the election was the presence on the ballot paper of the Hungarian Two-tailed Dog Party.

The Two tailed dog party is really fun. They promise you immortality plus FIFTY YEARS BONUS!

The satirical outfit put forward a candidate dressed as a chicken to try and argue people have lost faith in human politicians.

The party won 1.6% of the vote, more than double that of left-wing, pro-EU party Together, who polled around 0.63%.

I'd rather he'd be sent to Syria or Somalia so that he can help out his beloved r̶a̶p̶i̶s̶ j̶i̶h̶a̶d̶i̶ poor refugees in the flesh.

Send him to Russia.

I personally see this from the same perspective I see Trump presidency; when the chips are down and stakes are high, you just have to deal with that shady old fixer - simply because he's the only dude in town who knows how to fix this shit.

And Orban can really do that. Say what you will about him, he is smart, clever and cunning. He does think a series of steps ahead of his foes, and to underestimate him for a fool is a career ending mistake.

He did not won because of his party, he won in spite of them. No matter how corrupt they are, he can still guide his party to come out ahead.

A big problem here is that Jobbik really went for center-right, and FIDESZ vent for proper right. This basically took the wind out of Jobbik's sails.

Also, old folks vote only Fidesz or Mszp, and the commies wanted to take way free healthcare. Which is like our Second amendment and even mentioning of abolishing it is basically party suicide. Mszp wanted to rape the free part, and Fidesz swooped in with small pension benefits and made all grannies and gramps into 100% total loyal fanbase.

Hungarian ree for my fellow huns:

I take it /r/europe deletes any comments along the lines that it might be reasonable for Hungarians to not want Budapest turned into Marrakesh North a/k/a Paris2018edtion, Londonistan or whatever the hell it is the entirety of Sweden has turned into?

To read reddit it also sounds like every Hungarian under age 30 is now going to leave. Maybe they can join all those Hillary voters who also did the mass exodus thing.

There was this hilarious article about Hungarians voting absentee in London who said Orbans time was up and then he wins in a landslide. Fucking lol. Britian is so fucking cucked.

Grinning cheerfully as he swipes his mop neatly across the glass front of an optician's shop, Sandor(Alexander) the window cleaner tells me he doesn't think much of Hungary's ruling Fidesz party.

"They may say the economy's thriving but we don't feel it," he says. "The one thing they do right is to keep the migrants out."

Marx says the end of history is not the end and the huns are going post democracy, to illiberalism! So much for the "right side" of history! ;)

There is a fair bit of info that I think most non hungarians and even many locals miss.

Autocracy has been demonised in the west for more than a century. There were revolutions against monarchy and feudalistic societies that were mostly class wars. Kings and nobility became the primary scapegoats and source of all ills. Some like the US never even had an autocracy, despite what #Neverdrumpfpfft!-ers believe.

On the other hand, it is not something that happened here. Here, revolutions were nationalistic fights against foreign authority. They were not attacks on autocracy but on international control.
The nobolity thus went into history not as tyrants but as the shining lights of independence. After half a millenia of historic defeat, the names of ancient kings mean prosperity and halcyon glory lost forever, never to be reclaimed.

Thus, many, especially rural ones, would rather have a hungarian nationalist autocrat in charge than a foriegner ruled democracy. The EU is not hated because most people just associated it with "Germany Gibsmuh" and think its just an endless money spigot with no repercussions or price tags attached.

Autocracy and nationalism just does not have the stigma it has on the west.
Foreigner people say that counting Jobbik's votes for Orban is not right.
But Jobbik's core voterbase was far-right, and if not for Jobbik, they would have voted Fidesz for sure.
Many, many of Jobbik's voters are young people who are dissatisfied with the corruption but consider anti-migration a must. These people will not vote for socialists and will vote for Fidesz to keep them out.
Indeed, many of them voted for Jobbik because they were sure Fidesz would win, but thought Jobbik could be required for the supermajority to help regulate the corruption, since the two parties are both anti-immigrant and anti-muslim.

The left's claim is basically this, in US terms : "Teaparty voters can't be counted on to support Republicans, they would rather support Democrats." Which is mostly untrue.

http://www.breitbart.com/london/201...eptic-viktor-orban-wins-big-hungary-election/

The rumors about Orban being funded at first by Soros are true. The magnificent bastard literally outjewed the jewest jew.
Some say it takes one to know one! To the western mind this may seem dishonest, but to the eastern mind this is being crafty and cunning and smart.
While eastern europeans look down on blue collar crime, white collar crime is seen as "making the system work for you because you are smart" and thus not really reprehensible.

http://www.breitbart.com/london/2017/10/06/trump-strong-brave-hungarian-pm/

We are doing our best to meet NATO criteria for the first time in a long while.

Eu is butthurt:
http://www.breitbart.com/london/2018/04/10/hungary-eu-duty-prevent-dictatorship/

What I think they mistake is that Hungarians don't like the EU. They like the gibsmuh.

If the Eu stops sending Germoney Gibsmuh, the support for it will evaporate like morning mist across eastern europe as a whole.

As for Soros, even Israel is getting tired of his shit.

Cuckpope is reeeing too!

This left wing analysis is less deluded than the rest:
https://www.nationofchange.org/2018/04/13/orban-the-opportunist-hungarys-trumpian-leader-wins-again/

"Although the above makes a reference to the current U.S. president, Orban is a much more competent, some might even say calculating, operator. Unlike his American counterpart, the Hungarian Prime Minister has been involved in his country’s civic life since at least the late 1980s, when he bravely demanded a Soviet withdrawal from Hungary against the advice of many of his contemporaries."

" Thus, it is a one that politicians like Viktor Orban, and likely the current American president who often seems like a cheap version of him, have no use for. The Hungarian Prime Minister, like his less polished counterpart in the White House, prefers to speak in the language of comfortable myths to dealing with nuanced realities."

Smarter than :trump: ? How many D chess are we talking about? And I'm only half kidding here. The man's more cunning than a fox and a jew combined.

Our great leader is apparently SUPERTRUMP.
