I've spent a lot of time with American Jews, and I kind of get the impression that Israel is where they send the screw-ups. "You're going to visit your second cousin in Haifa to see how good you have it!" And then they put them on a one way flight and hope they don't come back. So that's my speculation on the situation, for what it's worth

Okay, some quick video analysis. At 0:36 we can see that bus route #16 passes where Eli is walking. That's the "Carmelit (Tel Aviv Yafo) to Winter Stadium (Ramat Gan)" line.
Here's the route the #16 bus takes. I'm currently following it to try to find the "pink fucking faggot building".
Well that wasn't hard. Got it. I even think I know what hotel he's staying at. He's towards the end of the line, at Carmelit St (I started from there because I tried to find approximate locations by searching for hotels near this bus line).

Here's the spot where Eli's journey begins (Ge'Ula St and Ha Yarkon St), you can see that the graffiti hasn't even changed much in the three years since Google's Street View cars made these pics:
The hotel that would make the most sense given his location is the Dan Panorama Tel Aviv Hotel.
There are quite a few hotels in the area though, here's a few more: The Savoy Hotel Seaside and Arbatel Suites:
If any of you want to explore the area the pink faggot building marks the spot, it's at Ha Yarkon St and Ha Rav Kuk St. (Note: "Ha" ה just means "the" in Hebrew) It's a "Pinky", appears to be a mobile phone store.
