It's pretty amazing how with the recession of organized religion, Western society is experiencing an explosion of new age, psuedoscientific, alternative, mystical, shamanic, cultish, political, crypto-religious or conspiratorial spiritual beliefs. It seems to me that religious fundamentalists who no longer believe in organized religion, so they aim their emotional need for a "one true way" in a different direction.

I agree, I'm also skeptical she is a diversity hire. Other than being a woman, there are definitely other more "diverse" people, and women who have led non-profits are not a very exclusive group. I couldn't imagine just being a woman ticking all the diversity boxes. My guess is that Holly Million was the "spiritual advisor" of some other executive. Just fucking someone would not make another executive offer you an executive job, as that's a sexual harassment lawsuit waiting to happen, there's some other shenanigans going on here.

can't wait for the next round of features to be removed because they dont have good chakra energy and dont align with some star.

gnome users, i give you my strength to combat this bullshit. i may not like gnome (too macosx for me personally) but no one should have to suffer this.
 
So, the experience she supposedly has that "Holly served as the Executive Director of the BioBricks Foundation, an international, open-source biotechnology nonprofit."

I went digging through archives of the BioBricks Foundation, and it seems like she's never actually worked there.

I don't think this was a diversity hire, I think Holly just lied on her resume and GNOME didn't do any checking.

Yeah, this is the simplest explanation and probably the correct explanation.

Organizations will sometimes not check who they are hiring, because they can easily fire you for not being qualified, because it becomes pretty obvious, pretty quickly in most positions when you flourish your resume, and because the hiring manager is often busy/preoccupied with other things. Additionally, being a spiritual hack would mean that she is pretty good at manipulating people, and might have bullshitted her way to an executive position because everybody thought somebody else checked.

If that's really the case, I'm gonna respect the finesse. Sucks for GNOME, they'll look pretty dumb if they fire her, and they'll look even dumber if they don't fire her. HR is probably trying to get her to quit on her own.

Yes - if they were hiring on diversity, they would have gone with a black troon. Being a woman isn't enough in Current Year.
