Somebody earlier in the thread said he's likely been taking some sort of drug stimulant and it makes sense. It would explain how he manages to do streams where he's awake 24+ hours and the constant loops he gets into.

I don't think two guys supposedly barely scraping by can afford stimulants that don't make you constantly tweaked out. More likely, they just stick to the weed they've always done combined with some kind of bipolar mania along with a lifelong horrible sleep schedule, and this is just his norm.

During the DD/J stream on 23/07/2026 at https://live.dingdongvg.net/ I noticed there was a bit of buzz in the chat regarding a certain user called SuperScratchKat. A couple other users in there were alleged he was "that animator who was a sexpest". Wermera immediately sprung to acion and banned 3 users who posted info regarding this and deleted their posts and told Julian who was hosting the stream he would message him about it and that DD was now aware.

Many in the chat were immediately sympathetic to Scratchkat and asking him if we was ok at which point he posted stating he had some allegations around 8 years ago and this really piqued my interest. What allegations? Who is this guy? Was there any truth to what those others were saying then?

So I had just a cursory look and immediately found the following. SuperScratchkat is an online animator, musician/mashup artist, and former contributor to the Battle for Dream Island community. Whilst involved with this he at some point made contact with a fan at the time on discord and the two would converse. This turned to roleplay and then to conversations of a sexual nature that were apparently unwanted. at the time this was happening Kris was a minor. He also at the time did the same to a boy who as far as I gleaned is unnamed and who at the time WAS 12 YEARS OLD.

So in a dark twist the new DD/J streaming platform is coddling and protecting literal pedophiles who made unwanted sexual advances to children as young as 12 with mods (wermera) being involved; DingDong being made personally aware and many chatters seemingly sympathetic. YouTube's monetization changes fucked over animators/cartoonists/artists, basically anyone who didn't put out 10+ min long videos daily. Pewdiepie, Markiplier, Jacksepticeye were the faces of "let's playing" and blew up overnight. These were dudes with no notable experience getting paid for low-effort vids which boiled down to loud=funny and repeated jokes/memes while accumulating obsessive (mostly younger) fanbases.

People can (and do) say that having to include all those factors are just mental gymnastics to give Oney a "pass" (not the dreaded n-word one) to make it not hypocritical for him to start doing let's plays. But you really do have to include those factors because if you don't then the criticisms/shitting on let's plays would have extended to channels like Retsupurae, Vinesauce, TwoBestFriends, jerma985, penguinz0, even Game Grumps. And (outside of comments about shit like Starbomb) I don't remember Oney/the SleepyCabin guys really doing all that much to shit on those channels.

Over time those channels have been able to uncheck some of the criteria (PewdiePie making [bad] video games, Markiplier making a movie, Jacksepticeye doing music and voice acting) but it's clear that they could have only done that with the money they got from being the kind of obnoxious let's play channel Oney was shitting on in the first place, so it becomes a bit of a chicken and egg scenario.

In the end it's all about making dolla dolla bill on this bitch of an earth. If you have the option to make dolla dolla bills by playing vidya, valid. If you want to do it just to fund other shit, valid. If you don't want to do it, valid. Just don't eavesdrop on your friend brapping up a storm.

I remember that era of YouTube/the Internet where a small but vocal group of Puritans did not consider playing games as a viable option for content, coming up with those weird copyright justifications as displayed by the guy in that image.
