Doubt it. He knows he's on a comedy web show and is doing his best. That doesn't make him unfunny tho. Just like Ding Dong puts a front when he pretends to be the "straight man", or Tomar when he pretends to be offended by Zach's weird hypotheticals.

I think you're reading into their personas a little too hard.
Even if they sounded that much alike (I don't think they do, Adams voice goes too high to be Chris) you're overestimating Chris and the gangs ability to keep a bit going without cracking up. They modded sm64 to have Mario make retard noises and couldn't keep straight faces through that

Plus Tomar's sparing as soon as it comes up. It's a small thing, but I wish he wasn't rushing through the encounters. There's some fun stuff in there.
