I think we're getting close to going back to the present. All we need now is how Shuri became the knight known as Gunko. And maybe then we'll get something where Gunko dies when there's a moment where she isn't under Imu's control, so she and Brook have a moment, and then Imu is forced to retreat and take what he can get (even if that's just Oda delaying the true meeting of Imu and Luffy now that Imu isn't just a shadowy blob.)

Jesus, that's pretty brutal.
The theory that Esperia became Thriller Bark may be looking more likely since everything rotted in some fog, though the only thing the two islands have in common is they're both from the West Blue. It'd still be pretty fucked if it turns out it got converted into a ship, almost like the Fates really have it out for Brook and want to torment him.

at this point im starting to think imus whole gimmick of using domi reversi is meant to represent something that happened to him in the past. i wonder if he used it on lili and joyboy and made them fight to the death or something. also it sounds like imu was just going around taking out kingdoms left and right who knows how many kingdoms were erased entirely due to imu.
the one issue with the theory is that thriller bark does not have a giant harp next to its castle. though this fog did supposedly cause all the instruments to rot so it is possible the giant harp just fell apart. either way it is interesting that we meet brook in a place surrounded by fog and his home country fell victim to a similar fog. maybe its the same place or maybe the fog itself is some form of weapon used by imu and the florian triangle is where that fog remains after all these years.

It looks fine for what it's trying to be but I lowkey get annoyed at how we seem to get really run of the mill games but i don't think One Piece has had a single decent fighting game. I played Burning Blood and it's extremely mediocre.
