It's crazy how often it happens in OP. Another mangaka or writer would be called lazy and unoriginal.

But at least OP is optimistic.

edit: Just looking at the title page, which is of course non-cannon. But a devil fruit user swimming would be like a normal person taking a chlorine gas sauna. Just not in keeping with the world.

Given how fucked up the world of One Piece is, the amount tragedy is kind of low.

Like Ginny got free and managed to keep Bonney from being a slave instead of Bonney being raised as a sex slave.

To be fair, we follow the stories of a small amount of characters. For every Ginny managing to escape and at least save their children, there are probably many who don't.

On the note of One Piece theories, I noticed the tendancy tendency of Manu's comment section to have ESL comments that state some theory like it's a fact.
