Yes but that feels like a major thing to get wrong, I can't imagine he would make the claim that Joy Boy was born with the Rubber Body if he didn't have evidence to back that up.

i think imu just needs vivis blood or something like that to get access to something or to revive lili. i mean if shirahoshi can be a living ancient weapon then maybe something similar is true for vivi and all females in her family? i have a feeling though that whatever the reason is it most likely will be what causes the true end of things to begin.

There are better ways then. Before everything goes down, ask her for a blood donation for a good cause or whatever. Or punch her in the face. There are easier methods than kidnaping her.

Stupidity or malice? Hard to tell at times with Luffy.

I think what probably doesn't help is that the Strawhats currently with him are indifferent to it and the giants are completely fine with Loki being tortured.
