Since you built the ovens long, get rid of the furnace, replace the opening with an iron trapdoor and then hollow out the oven and put shit from the nether that never stops burning.
Edit - Also, if you make the chimney 3x3 you can hide the campfire so just the smoke is visible.

Depends on the player count, but between 1 and 8 GB dedicated to just the Minecraft server.
Funny thing is if you add to much it will slow down the server any time it does garbage collection (because Java), since it has to run through more memory, and can result in lag. Generally for best performance you want to only allocate as much as you absolutely need plus a little more

That's because iirc minecraft servers still only utilize one core of a CPU because mojang is omega exceptional. Somethingsomething spaghetti code, would have to re-write the thing from the ground up to utilize multi-threading.
