I think in Islamic countries they do this thing where you go through a marriage ceremony, then you fuck your new "wife" then you get divorced and go home. The funny thing about these whores, particularly the OF variety, is that they aren't as well off as people think. For every Delphine who makes millions, there's thousands more barely breaking even. If we get rid of the top end outliers, who are almost always already well known pornstars, their earnings make their life choices even more sad.

The best way to absolutely annihilate a sex worker's ego, if you ever had a reason to do such a thing:

Would be nice, but it doesn't work. The opinion of the average proud/pampered sex worker is that ordinary, modest, or hard-working women are complete chumps and brainwashed prudes who ignore the "easy option" of showing their buttholes to online strangers for quick cash in lieu of being mothers or wagies. Even purportedly straight men on social media often claim that they would take AIDS-crisis bath house volumes of dick if they were paid enough money, and mock other men who say they wouldn't do the same. Hell, some are completely convinced their children will be nothing but proud.
Which is why I despise them. The smug disdain they show towards women who keep the lights on through honest means to the point of bragging that they'll seduce their husbands/boyfriends because they're so much more fun, sexy and interesting... and unlike the courtesans of long ago who supported the same dynamic, they aren't enslaved, they're just doing it because they don't want to work regular hours.

The phrase "sex work" is somewhat decent when used to include prostitution, pornography, and other forms of commercial sexual exploitation and discuss their effects on society, but liberals ruin everything so now it's used by wealthy feet pic sellers to claim their job is the exact same thing as that of a streetwalker who wonders how violent her next John will be.
I've said it in another thread but when "sex work" is normalized, every woman and girl is perceived as having a price. When OnlyFans became popular it became extremely common to harass girls with jokes about starting an OnlyFans. Underaged girls gather "pre-fans" who eagerly await the day she turns 18. It's seen as "easy money," but the reality is that the majority make only a few hundred dollars a month (I don't remember the exact statistics, but it was something like 60% of OF camgirls make less than $300 a month). "Sex work" being easy money is the type of deception that human traffickers use to trick foreign girls, telling them that a well-paying job awaits them in a different country.
"Legalized and regulated prostitution" is not any better. When prostitution is legalized, human trafficking increases to import more young girls and force them into it. They have to keep importing them young, because of course Johns want the youngest, most barely-legal girls possible.
It doesn't matter how many "happy hookers" there are who say they enjoy their job. It is not worth the physical and psychological damage it brings onto thousands of other women and girls nor the normalization of the attitude that access to women can be bought and sold. Even the most successful porn stars are at best not proud of what they've done and at worst had faced years of physical and psychological abuse. And of course, in porn when the women say they love it, it is very often a lie. They have to say it otherwise their already-meager pay is withheld or they are beaten.
No one should let any of this happen to their daughter. No one should let any of this happen to their mother.

I saw a documentary once about male prostitutes in Japan. Someone in the film, can't remember if it was one of the female prostitutes or one of the males, but someone said it was very difficult to feel real in a relationship because they had gotten used to every action as transactional.

I remembered in antiquity, actresses had second jobs because they didn't make as much money, and most, if not all of those second jobs, were prostitution.
