Based on what the AP said last night, in Michigan previously mailed in ballots were included in the same day ballots, which based on the time frame in which I received my ballot and mailed it back (early October), this shouldn't have been a major surprise. I live in Wayne County (which is where Detroit is), so I'm really unsure why there was such a major spike over night.
Based on previous elections, I would not be surprised if most of Metro Detroit voted Democrat, but still this seems very strange. I know people are very lazy, but still most areas had prepaid return envelopes, so I really don't see any excuse besides laziness or people deciding who to vote for at last minute to cause a major influx in Election Day mail in ballots.

One of those being a land-based Harpoon missile system that allows the Taiwanese to cause real damage not just to an amphibious force in the Strait, but to Chinese rocket and missile batteries on the mainland.

You can say what you want about Biden, but he is absolutely hip to the threats China and Russia pose. I believe he will probably focus on reassuring our European allies and trying to get Japan and South Korea to pivot back away from China.

It's common practice that if a voter doesn't provide a DOB or it isn't readily accessible to default to 01/01/1900
