I never subscribed to the mentality that McCain was a racist. But a war monger, sure.
I could go on a tangent about the US's involvement in the Middle East and why it just doesn't fucking matter what we do, but the reason I hold McCain in higher regard than Trump is that he understood that you have to meet in the middle with the other side on some things. He was also willing to challenge the collective opinions of the RNC on their ideals, especially when it comes to Obamacare. He was one of the few Republicans to realize that dismantling Obamacare isn't getting rid of something that Obama put in, it's dismantling and ruining Medicare and Medicaid, a system that on top of being used by Welfare Queens, is used by the disabled and retired.
He also was one of the few to call out Mitch McConnell on his bullshit when it came to election security and safety.
As a matter of fact, the entire second half of this thread can be blamed on McConnell not listening to McCain.
There was a bipartisan attempt to shore up election security both digitally and physically due to the 2016 election and McCain was all for it. He knew that it would prevent a repeat of Democrats blaming Russian collusion, thus saving taxpayer money on a multimillion dollar investigation into whomever could be blamed next. It was also useful for both sides because it would prevent a repeat of what Trump was pulling on Ted Cruz, accusing him of fraud back in 2015/2016.
Whole thing came down to McConnell who was against it. McCain said "The only reason you would be against this movement is if you are working for a foreign power. This literally helps everyone"
and McConnell shut it down.

I'm no expert either, just repeating the stuff I've seen. It's absolutely worth looking into if only to see that McCain is more than "That guy that lost to Obama". I could be wrong or my paraphrasing may not do the full subject justice, but it's been years.

McCain was always willing to negotiate with both sides of the aisle. He even worked with a Democrat senator to get the Bipartisan Campaign Reform Act passed. Sure, it's not a perfect act, but it shows that at one time the parties could work together

You guys should realise two things about the Trump lawsuits
1. The media has made it seem like his lawsuits are the one getting thrown out, e.g. any suit that alleges voter fraud has to be a Trump suit. This is false. As Giluani said, they only have a handful of suits.

2. These actual Trump suits are not just claiming voter fraud in the sense that a few people are illegally casting ballots. They're alleging election fraud, which is insinuated to be of a larger scale. Even I conflated the two earlier (EDIT: in terms of diction at least), but they're not necessarily the same things.

So that was the MSM fuckery happening atm, who else is doing the other suits being thrown out though?

Shit areas like Florida, North Carolina, Arizona, Ohio, Missouri, Minnesota, Wisconsin and Virginia are given far more power to control the direction of the US than they should.
And I'd like to point out that these places have large amounts of disenfranchised, low-income, and government assisted people living in them. That or they are actually problematic areas such as Florida

It would actually be easier to dispense with voting than get that rammed through.

As it is voting is basically a joke - barely registers as a "polite suggestion", basically meaningless when the system has been wracked by fraud for decades, and all that combined with two-party-uniparty FPTP bullshit means it's basically a way for tinpots to legitimize fraud by making the electorate own a decision that might not have even been theirs to make, realistically.

Our current system is basically "victim blaming" writ large. Funny how none of the usual people who scream about that are willing to call it that.
