There is a documentary out this year about a train sperg who keeps going to prison because he impersonates NYC subway conductors and actually drives trains around illegally. Here's the trailer:

That guy always seemed mostly harmless, but you can't just let people go around stealing trains.

The guy is a foamer who makes Leonard Shaner look almost neurotypical, but unlike Shaner, seems to have actual knowledge of the technology and despite being notorious for this shit, manages to steal trains all the time.

It's too bad he never got directed into some field where his autistic obsession was actually useful.

My first reaction would be, "Why didn't he just train to become a conductor?" But he's probably fucked up in ways that it's unsafe/unwise for him to actually have that job. Least of all his sense of judgement that tells him it's okay to impersonate a conductor and illegally drive trains.
