I do appreciate that the man hate thread exists, even if I seldom look at it, and BP is generally a great place for the gorls to be catty and shitpost and vent. There isn't really anywhere else online for that that doesn't weed out racism, criticizing trannies, etc.
In my experience, a vocal minority of men do take the existence of the things like the MHT/lolcow threads catering to women too seriously, or as a personal affront. I have to wonder how much of it comes down to some guys just not getting that women talk shit amongst each other as much as guys do and that it's not anything to be taken personally, and how much of it is due to personal history, but that's neither here nor there.
If you look at more surface-level egalitarian places online (image boards aside from Lolcow Farm for example), they're generally sausage fests, at least as far as active posters go. It's just how it is. Most of the time, the sex of the poster doesn't matter and doesn't even come up. That's fine.
But as a result, the women that do tend to get noticed are those that know how to get the attention of men who are likely to comment, if only to tell them to post tits or GTFO or call them a BPD hole or something. Sometimes this works for wedding out would-be saboteurs of the integrity of the discussion; sometimes it totally derails the thread.
It's easy enough to just ignore it and keep browsing, but it tacitly shatters the illusion of equality among female users, and women who go to these sites are then keenly aware that, regardless of intent, an online community is more often than not designed for the fellas in practice, and the guys aren't really gonna do anything to change that, because it works for most of the active user base.
To some, it sounds ridiculous to have to take measures just to cater to women, just because they don't like the way things are. They can just suck it up like everyone else! But that doesn't actually invite most women to discuss anything. It's just a measure taken to mitigate complaints that can otherwise be written off as unwarranted, because gender usually shouldn't matter if you're just posting online.
But women are different from men, whether or not sex comes into the conversation, even if they share the same niche interests. There are just some things that are best to post about with other women without it getting shat up by porn, attention whores, online machismo, and the things shared every day, everywhere else online. Women enjoy commiserating with each other in ways that dudes just don't normally do, and pay attention to differing facets of a given topic.
Is there a right answer to this tacit problem apart from total segregation of communities? No clue. But Null does do a good job in that regard compared to anywhere else I've ever browsed. The blackpilled niggas still get to bitch about foids, and the gorls still have a place to laugh at fat bitches, AGPs, and e-girls.
Part of the fun of KF is all these micro-communities in each subforum, and most of them are pretty good about sticking to the topic at hand. I don't normally touch A&H though, it's just boring to see the same shit that's been floating around /pol/ for the last decade plus.
I don't think privating profiles is really a big deal either. Most people are still going to choose to leave their profiles open for N towers and stuff. Can't really speak for anything about Lidl Drip because I never saw many of her posts to begin with.

Site's full of so many different groups of people now with very different beliefs, mindsets, and maturity levels that it's hard to really avoid internal conflict. Same as real life multiculturalism really.
I can attest to this, chances are you will never see me outside of the tech thread and local/hobby boards.
There's plenty of people who aren't even in favor of free speech on the site.

You see, ever since I got suspended from high school after my former crush reported me for sexual harassment, I have realized that all women are pure evil sociopaths who only want to fuck Chad and Tyrone. Thus, I use shitty coombait Japanese cartoons to satiate my sexual urges instead. I used to want to troon out so I could play out my anime girl delusions, but Kiwi Farms’s Stinkditch section thankfully steered me away from that dark path.
One day, after a long day of seething in the woman-hate thread, I decided to go ask my mother to make some chicken tendies. However, when I saw her, I noticed that she had a grocery bag with the “Lidl” logo plastered all over it. This immediately triggered my post-traumatic stress disorder as it reminded me of the infamous Kiwi Farms user “Lidl Drip.”
For those not in the know, Lidl Drip is an extremely evil feminist terrorist known for creating the vile “Official Kiwi Farms Man-Hate Thread.” Her sole goal is the eradication of all males on Earth except for Chads and Tyrones. To achieve this, she argues with spergs in the Autistic Thunderdome such as me. She has made my clitty leak approximately 372 times. The worst thing is that Null simps for her, so she never gets real justice for her crimes against humanity.
I was already upset due to seeing a pro-Jew bait thread in Mass Debates, getting my post negrated and quoted with the reply “You are a faggot,” and a heated 17-page argument with Hollywood Hulk Hogan. This was the last straw for me. Remembering all of my trauma seeing Lidl Drip make fun of me, I called my mother an evil whore subhuman and said I hope she gets raped. She was extremely appalled by what I said and began crying and saying she’d take me to a mental hospital.
Of course, I would never let myself get injected with kike drugs that turn people into niggercattle because I am a free thinker. So to stop her, I used my mighty 585-pound frame to tackle and crush her. My sheer weight ruptured her internal organs, killing her in minutes. However, my neighbor was able to hear her horrific screams and immediately dialed 911. Now, I am worried that I will be arrested and land in jail.
