North Korea Threatens Australia With Nuclear Strike Over ‘Toeing The Line’ With U.S.
by CHLOE HUBBARD

North Korea has launched into a war of words against Australia over the country's alliance with the U.S., warning the country is within striking range of a nuclear weapon.

A spokesman for the North Korean foreign ministry accused Australian Foreign Minister Julie Bishop of spouting "a string of rubbish against the DPRK (Democratic People's Republic of Korea)" over the country's missile testing, adding "Australia is blindly and zealously toeing the U.S. line."

In Japan last week, Bishop said Australia supported the "United States' approach that all options be on the table with regard to curbing North Korea's illegal and belligerent behavior" and mooted the idea of further sanctions.

Bishop's comments prompted the North Korean foreign ministry to launch a direct attack, which was broadcast on the Korean Central News Agency on Friday: "What she uttered can never be pardoned as it is an act against peace that patronizes and shields the U.S. extreme hostile policy toward the DPRK."

"If Australia persists in following the U.S. moves to isolate and stifle the DPRK and remains a shock brigade of the U.S. master, this will be a suicidal act of coming within the range of the nuclear strike of the strategic force of the DPRK. The Australian foreign minister had better think twice about the consequences to be entailed by her reckless tongue-lashing before flattering the U.S."

U.S. Will Meet Any Nukes With ''Overwhelming' Response, VP Pence Says 0:50

Unfettered Bishop issued a statement Sunday saying North Korea should concentrate on its "long-suffering citizens, rather than building catastrophic weapons: "North Korea's threats of nuclear strikes against other nations further underlines the need for the regime to abandon its illegal nuclear weapons and ballistic missile programs," she said.

"These present a grave threat to its neighbors and if left unchecked, to the broader region including Australia. The North Korean government should invest in the welfare of its long-suffering citizens, rather than weapons of mass destruction."

The posturing comes as Vice President Mike Pence spends his final day of a visit to Australia on Sunday taking part in tourist activities in Sydney.

Nice of Mike Pence to be spending time with abbo children though

North Korea and their fighting words. I don't think we can take them any more serious.

The animals there would be even more deadlier than they are once they mutate, and each one of them can easily kill every single Human alive.
On the other hand , what if the KPA manages to kill an animal? A fully-fed North Korean soldier is a possibility no defense scenario could imagine. For all we know they go super Saiyan and Kims just starve everybody to keep their power levels secret.

Who they hell are they to accuse any country of "zealously toeing the line"? Isn't that all they do there, is praise their Great Reeder and make paper mache missles?

Throwing a nuke anywhere in Australia would be an improvement. The Aussies can rebuild while not worrying about the spiders and snakes killing them.
He wouldn't want to throw it just anywhere, like 80% of the country is already uninhabitable, launching a nuke anywhere but the coast would be a waste of a nuke. And given the country's history, a bunch of aussies would probably move out to the outskirts of the fallout area and write gay poems about how much they love it.

Nuking a major US ally will probably get you nuked yourself.
I also bet that if these retards ever launch, China will nuke them too.

They'd probably want to level Australia even more right now since they are deepening their ties with Japan another country they hate more than the US:

TOKYO (AP) — Australian Foreign Minister Julie Bishop urged China on Thursday to do more to help out in the international effort to pressure and persuade North Korea to stop escalating nuclear and missile threat.

Bishop said that China has a "unique and specific role to play in pressuring North Korea to cease its illegal behavior." Australia plans to work closely with Japan, South Korea, the U.S. and China "to ensure that China can use its unique position."

She made the remark to a group of reporters in Tokyo before joining Australian Defense Minister Marise Payne and their Japanese counterparts, Foreign Minister Fumio Kishida and Defense Minister Tomomi Inada, for talks in which they agreed to deepen their defense cooperation at a time of growing North Korean threat.

Kishida said the U.S. presence in the region was "crucial" amid an increasingly difficult security environment. He also made a case for including India, saying Delhi was needed for peace and stability in waters spanning the East China and South China seas.

While supporting the U.S. government's shift to a tougher stance toward North Korea, Bishop said further effort for dialogue and economic sanctions are necessary.

"China is the source of energy, of ideas, of innovation, of expertise," she said, noting 95 of direct investment in North Korea come from China and that the North's exports mainly goes to China. "There is a far greater role that China can play in assisting the region and the global community in bringing North Korea into line so it ceases a nuclear and missile program that is clearly designed to attack the United States."

The Australian ministers' visit come on the heels of U.S. Vice President Mike Pence's trip to Japan and South Korea to reassure allies of America's commitment to the region.

Tension on the Korean Peninsula has risen this month, with the Trump administration stepping up pressure on North Korea and two major anniversary events in North Korea.

Japan, a staunch U.S. ally that hosts about 50,000 American troops, has in recent years developed military cooperation with other countries, including Australia, France and Britain. Prime Minister Shinzo Abe has sought to expand Japan's defense role and capability in the face of North Korea's threat and China's increasing assertive activity in the East and South China seas.
