I don't even consider this The Odyssey. It's just modern we wuzzery with a very light historical fantasy skin.
Oh Brother Where Art Thou? Was a much more respectful adaptation.

I will go see it in the cinema tonight and report back in detail. I like Nolan as a director (albeit not his newer movies) so my expectations are pretty neutral, I doubt I will regret going. I watched a few minutes of the camrip and bemoaned the shit quality so seeing it on the big screen will allow me to judge the cinematography and sound way better.

I expected it to be terrible, but even the absurdly effusive critical reviews didn't prepare me for the leaked clips and still images. It transcends mere "woke" garbage, it's an absolute abomination. An effrontery. A film student project has more passion and attention to detail.

I have noticed quite a bit of promotion for Christopher Nolan's * Odyssey*, but I have yet to see any confirmed box office numbers regarding its opening weekend. This lack of concrete data seems somewhat unusual to me. If not outright suspicious. We have a good idea of supergirl box office on opening weekend. If anything reminds me of how people shilled Steven Spielberg discloser day as a hit the first week. It wasn’t.

It just opened today. We should have proper projections later today or tomorrow, but early estimates puts it between $85-100m now (previously they estimated it at $100-120m).
