Zendaya is popular and gets a lot of roles because she was the main character of Euphoria. Euphoria is very female oriented and gave her a lot of screen time.
Kinda like when Game of Thrones was big and all the actors in that were getting tons of roles, To a lesser degree the chicks in Euphoria have the same situation going for them. especially because the series ended last month. This is why Sydney Sweeney got insanely popular as quick as she did.
Enough people like their acting styles that they jam her and Sydney into everything

Ironically, she looks quite ugly in Euphoria, exactly like the memes that show she looks so bad. While everybody around her wears over the top make up and clothes, she's the plain one.
Compare her looks in the show with how she gets primped for events.
A nigger banging a stick while speaking in modern niggerese is not a good way to start The Odyssey. Ellen also can not do anything other than frogvoice and you can see Nolan is really trying to set this up as some bad boys club right off the bat, I know they're younger but he's framing it as high school bullies.
Didn't see this posted, but Time Magazine dropped a negative review a few hours ago, probably the most scathing review I've seen from 'real media' critics. The Odyssey is just another reason to despair

Only one good scene, the Circe scene the trailers haven't shown at all.
TLDR; seems like a boring slog of a film, even calls the Helen casting (while glazing the actress) tokenism.
Then ends the review by basically recommending you just read the book.

is just ethnic enough to count toward DEI standards and pale enough to not scare off China, so you don't have to cover her face with a helmet on the Asian posters. You can have her play a wide range of ethnic roles without standing out too much. Basically the same reason Pedro Pascal gets cast in tons of shit.
She's also had better PR training than most actresses. Though I find her mid in appearance at best, she's never to my memory attacked the audience or dropped a diss track or attacked her employers. Even in this Odyssey marketing, she's basically been forgotten about, compared to the crazy shit some of the other actresses have been saying to get attention. I'm sure this also helps her get roles.

Zendaya definitely exploded because of Euphoria but Sydney Sweeney was in the mainstream for quite a few years before then mainly because of ZE BOOBA.
Also why the fuck is Hollywood so obsessed nowadays with casting geriatric grannies like Charlize Theron as some irresistible sirens? She was pretty when she was younger but she hasn't been a head-turning stunner for over a decade now.

Going to repeat what I said in the thread about why she gets many roles: Zendaya's character was the only one with half decent writing and that was because her character was Levinson's self-insert. Most people that saw Euphoria (most people with power that is) interpreted this as Zendaya being the most talented actress of the cast.
