Note Quioui linked to yt-dlp, not youtube-dl. Have you tried the former yet?
For whatever reason youtube-dl's development has stalled out, but yt-dlp has picked up the slack.

Unfortunately it doesn't work on locals.com; it used to be easy enough to get their older video content via some inspect element shenanigans. But they changed their video player last month and ever since then it doesn't work right anymore. All their content posted before the video player changed can still be grabbed though.

So I don't really know if this is the right place to post, but I could use some extra brain power here.
I'm using an RTX 3070 FE. My monitor setup is a little weird. I have a 1440p/144fps gaming monitor and a 1080p/60fps monitor. I've been noticing some flickering on the 1440p but not the 1080p. It's also only on specific programs, like my VPN client and the file explorer. It's nothing intense, something like 1 flicker every once in a while, but I notice it. I've tried to record it but it doesn't show up in 60 fps
I've already done a full driver reinstall, even using DDU, and the problem persists. I don't think it's my monitor, since the issue is localized to the window of whatever I'm using, and it's not on every program I use.
Is this something that has to do with the refresh rate? Could it be an issue with my video card? I'm ordering a new DP cable just to try it out. When I come back from work I'm going to try a different port to see if that changes anything.

If it's only affecting the active window and specific programs but nothing else on that screen it is 100% software related. I've used that exact setup without any problem.
Is this something that's:
A: been happening occasionally but not 100% of the time with the windows/programs affected.
B: going on since day 1 of using either the 144hz monitor or the card or did the combo at some point work as it should? I mean, is this a new/newish or old issue. If it at some point worked then using older drivers might solve the problem, try to figure out the point in time when it didn't happen and test the drivers that were available then. Or a windows update might have fucked something up which would be an entire dimension of nightmares to figure out.

I swapped my DP to a different port and used it for 10 minutes before I headed to work. And the issue didn't appear, but I'll give it more time tonight
It's not a constant flicker but I'd say at most it's 1 flicker a minute. On file explore it does a quick flicker or black on the top toolbar when set to fullscreen.
What really gets me is that it never shows up when recording, which is sort of expected since I can only record at 60 fps so I guess it misses it since the monitor is 144
I'm just trying to be careful with this setup. I already RMA'd once. I don't know if it's the driver or the card but this 3070 has given me so much more trouble over my old 1070. Of course in this market I refuse to pay these current prices. Hell from the looks of things this might be the last build I ever do.

How do I convert Songs from a CD I have (namely an anime CD) into Song files which I can port to my current apple (Shut up) smartphone, none of my computers neither my Laptop have disc drives so what should I do, but a portable Disc drive which I connect to my MacBook?

Yes. You'll need a USB disc drive, connect it to any of your computers, and use some kind of software to rip the tracks. I use foobar2000 so I'm going to provide instructions for that.
For Windows releases, https://www.foobar2000.org/ and https://www.foobar2000.org/mac for Macs.
File -> Open audio CD...
Select the files desired, whatever passes for right click on Macs -> convert
Alternatively you could try pirating them. That site usually works according to my weebish friends.

1) Preheat the oven to 400
2) Put the CD on top of your phone and then put them both in the oven.
3) Wait about 30 minutes and the songs will be burned onto your phone.

You shouldn't RMA it. Did this start with the 3070 while already owning and using the 144hz monitor plus 60hz monitor? Did a previous configuration work with the 144hz monitor plus the other one? One window flickering is not a cable issue, it doesn't work that way and if it doesn't happen in games it is absolutely a GDI rendering thing not working as it should.
Only for anime music, doesn't work with anything else.

As previously stated you will need an external optical disc drive of some sort to connect to your computer. Fortunately they're pretty cheap; name brand DVD burners (which will also support CDs) can be had for $30-40 at Walmart and you can probably find one cheaper on Amazon if you don't mind the chance of ending up with some sketchy jank straight from Guangzhou. Note that if you have one of the newer MacBooks with only USB-C ports you'll also need a USB-A to USB-C adapter.
Installing custom software to rip isn't necessary; the Music app will do it for you. Just be aware that Music will import as AAC files rather than MP3 by default, but you can change this to MP3 if you need to. Use the Help menu to search for "Import songs from CDs into Music on Mac" for a walkthrough.
If you don't think you'll need to work with optical discs much in the future and a new drive won't be worth the cost, you could try taking the CD and a USB thumb drive into a school computer library or public library with public computers and try your luck there. Or, as others have said, you could just pirate the music and still sleep well at night since you already own the CD. Just be wary of sketchy pirate programs and sites.

Ok, so the monitor and card used to work? This is 100% software not hardware. Try the Nvidia Studio Drivers, they're supposedly immune to shit like this.

Apparently to install Arch, or really any Linux OS, as a dual-boot I have to disable both Secure Boot and Fast Boot. This seems like a really bad idea- especially since I am extremely reliant on my computer for both work and other uses. Obviously before I try anything I'm going to backup everything on the encrypted 2TB external hard drive I keep in the gun safe- but is this safe to DIY or should I get a IT professional to go through this step-by-step? I'm also installing the linux OS on a second SSD I have installed, not the main one I keep Windows on.

Is "turn it off and on again" an actual solution to many problems IT pros have to solve for people? I typically roll my eyes at that response, but they deal with so many clueless boomers and third-worlders it's occurred to me that maybe it is a frequent fix.
