That's only the Aussies and their weird kangaroo time.

I'm up because all my friends are American and 'holy shit it's late' for me is 'oh hey it's time to crack open the corn syrup' for them.

I don't have to actually be in the office until the afternoon :eli:

Depends on how you define "night". What is night in, say, the US is the morning for me and vice versa.

I need to go to sleep earlier instead of staying up all night playing video games. I won't even take a break to use the bathroom. I might have a problem..

Girlfriend lives on the other side of the country so on days where I'm able to I stay up to Skype with her.

everyone in chat knows that I stay up aaaaaaall night to kiwi farm because I stopped caring about schoolwork and want to rebel against my Chinese parents.

My most productive times seem to be when I wake up early and when I stay up late. I prefer the quiet of the latter, so I tend to stay up to 4-5am.
There's something comforting about being awake when the sun is coming up and it's completely silent. On the street I live on you'll only hear a few cars, a garbage truck, a school bus, and then the morning is dead silent.

Nothing quite like it, no. I prefer a few hours earlier, however, around 3AM when the world is absolutely utterly still. Even the wind seems to blow less at night. My parents' house had a balcony and I'd sit out there with a book and a cup of coffee and just read in the silence.
