It wasn't built by some mythical "Zimbabwean" civilization, it wasn't the result of some "Great Zimbabwe" that totally existed in the past, it was built by Islamic slavers as an outpost, that's the point I was making.

Nobody of any note has ever claimed it was built by a "zimbabwean civilisation". The fortification was built by the Shona, an iron age tribe that migrated into the region some time in the 2nd century; it became their capital in the 9th-10th centuries, as they expanded their control the gold deposits of what is now called the zimbabwe plateau. The structure is too far south and west to have been part of the Islamic slave trade during the high-point of its existence and it pre-dates any Islamic or Arab incursions into the area by a couple of centuries.

Basketball americans when food is flavoured with fresh ingredients and paste instead of the powdered wallmart versions, the meat cleaned by boiling and blanching it instead of washing it in bleach and the dish is actually cultured 🤯😡

Assuming from some replies there were also some ppl claiming blacks taught white people about showering, they invited 90% of everything thats exists etc etc but the og comments were deleted.

Luckily a lot of the comments are calling it out, but damnnn I'm always surprised how brutal the comment sections on such large (& normie) platforms can be.

A group of people that uses their ''''superior culinary skills''' as a massive cope, getting told by people from cultures with massive spice and flavour useage that their 'cooking knowledge' is actually quite shit... lmao

I thought their seasoning would be some intricate exotic spice blend from how much ive heard it talked up. Its usually literally just salt, paprika, black pepper, cayenne pepper and garlic and onion powder. Bbq chips have a more advanced flavour profile. Remove the cayenne and its literally just one of the most popular european chip flavours.

Nah, paprika the powdered version is called paprika everywhere i think, in English too.

That's the one I meant for Europe, but bbq for the Americans is basically the same ingredients but with smoke flavor.

Lawrys is literally just salt, sugar, onion powder and paprika.

Outside the US, African American cooking is known for having a lot of chicken and thats kinda it lol, mexican American foods are way more popular and well known. Biggest contributions to international culture are music and being good at basketball.

There are some black cooks I follow who are pretty good, but from their clean and expensive cooking environments its clear theyre not the average African american
 
The funniest thing, and apologies if this has been posted before, is that the "wiypipo don't season dey food" crowd usually doesn't cook. Think about it, the black Twitter community largely consists of college-educated city dwelling millennials. These people wouldn't know "soul food" if it snuck up and bit them in the ass, and a solid 95% of their diet probably consists of ramen from Uber Eats or takeout burritos. Meanwhile, go to a small town in Mississippi, Alabama, fuck, even north Florida and there'll be a fat black guy in a pair of overalls smoking some phenomenal meats. And I guarantee that guy's got an actual "secret spice blend" that isn't just Lawry's, and probably doesn't know what a smartphone is.
