So, I just read this whole thread in a couple of days after seeing someone mention Nick Bate in another thread. I'm not trying to sound A-Loggy here, I'm just saying that if I ever heard that Nick was walking around and something very heavy suddenly fell from a tall building on top of him, I would laugh.

Honestly, though, as the thread went on, I started to feel somewhat similarly towards Nick as I do with CWC, i.e. that he could have grown up normally but had a shitty upbringing, and with the proper help, he could turn into a mostly functional person. Unlike Chris, Nick actually seems somewhat self-aware, especially about his mental illnesses. When he shuts the fuck up about his nasty shit and a2m fetishes, or about diddling little girls, and just opens up with a little sincere emotional vulnerability like in his last LJ post, I feel sort of bad for him. It sounds to me like he was an eccentric loner in his youth, and without a lot of parental support and especially growing up in a household that doesn't "believe" in mental illness, he never got the guidance he needed. So he grew up into the attitude of "Well, I'm weird, so weird that I'll never fit in anywhere, so I might as well play to my strengths. Some people seem to like it, and I wouldn't know how to act any other way."

I'm not convinced anymore that he molested his sister. From that old chatlog with Anna where he admits it, it sounds like he was just trying to boast about a kooky incident that happened to him. Since he seems to be aware that it's unusual but doesn't understand why it's socially unacceptable, he treats it just like how a teenager might lie about getting drunk or trying drugs for the first time. He's like, "Ack, my kid sister seduced me x_X;;;;; So awkward XDDD omglolz" Ugh. So I think it's pretty obvious that he just didn't understand the severity of what he was joking about.

Either way, his admitted pedo fantasies combined with his lack of self-awareness should be enough to have him forcefully committed until such a time as he realizes that touching kids is NO GOOD.
