Read the psych evaluation and the ED page. Given what he did to his sister, I'd say he has every reason to believe that someone's out to get him, if you get my drift. I'll break out the champagne the day that happens.

There's no question that he's a pedophile, the only thing that's uncertain is whether he actually did anything to his stepsister. Given that the parents kicked him out of the house and won't let him anywhere near her, they at least know he's a pedophile and it wouldn't be too surprising if something actually did happen and he's trying to backpedal.
