Huh, I don't recall that being a feature of BPD--though I could be very wrong.
Either way, I doubt he has it. Histrionic Personality Disorder, perhaps--since he's such an attention whore--but I don't think BPD quite fits.
I think he might be; I do seem to remember him mentioning something about being on disability, though I might be confused on that. Pretty sure his family helps pay his bills too, either way.

Now, normally I just lurk but I have a question. Was it ever really brought up or hypothesized why Nick seems to think dropping out of high school or not getting a job are things to aspire to? I'm really curious as to why this is a thing. He managed to graduate regardless and thinks he's a failure for actually completing high school, from what I've seen.

Maybe it's some kind of a fucked-up badge of honor? The same way that trying to grow out a one toenail at 12 or see how long you can go without bathing is?
Fuck, I think my brain functions too much to think on the same level.
And his fucking teeth haunt my dreams. Who is fucking PROUD of not going to the dentist? Hell, even my friends who hate the dentist and have massive anxieties about going end up going because when every bite of food hurts, it's about self-preservation.
How the fuck do you not drop out or fail out of high school? Granted, I know that in some areas (sidenote: went to private school because my home district has been a shitshow for 20+ years) some schools will unfortunately pass on kids who are not proficient (honor roll my ass) due to a combination of not caring or just straight up not having resources for them.

I'm not a therapist, but Nick is definitely schizotypal from what we can tell. I don't know if paraphilias like those he displays are part of the disorder, but his social anxiety and distorted thought patterns definitely are. Same with the aggressive thoughts and the acting out.

My friend says there are two types of people in the world. People who have never been told "no," and people who are why we can't have nice things. While I don't want to debate the veracity of that from an empirical standpoint, I submit that Nick is probably the former. And maybe the latter.
What can I say; the theory has its flaws.

What baffles me still is how MadThad0890 had his CP stash discovered by the FBI and is serving at least a five-year prison sentence after bragging about being a CP-obsessed pedo to his friends on Facebook, yet Nick has admitted to doing much worse things to complete strangers on Twitter who then informed his family about it and the police have done nothing about him and he's still roaming free

My guess is that there may not be any solid evidence of his alleged crimes, and that if he was ever confronted about his tweets by law enforcement, he'd just tell them he was "kidding". Without the proverbial smoking guns -- CP files, victims' testimonies, corroborating witnesses -- neither the Feds nor local LEOs are going to bother making a case against an obviously deranged, cretinous loudmouth like Nick.

I'm disappointed by it, but not really surprised. Law enforcement can't really do much based solely on hearsay, even when it's straight out the pervert's mouth. The family isn't talking out of shame or fear of reprisal, assuming he actually did that of course.

He boasted about CP on Facebook and the party van cam a'visiting. Despite his denials about it being all a joke, hundreds of images were found on a flash drive and he was effectively busted big time. He was busted again for violating his bail conditions (using the internet). Apparently, he will be stuck in chokey until 2020.

If he really did molest Amber (which I still think he did), then it's likely that Amber has told her family about it and is being pressured by them to keep silent out of their fear of having their names plastered in the news headlines in case Nick gets arrested for it and being blamed for what happened, or even facing legal charges themselves (or at least being reported to CPS) for doing almost nothing about Nick besides kicking him out of his mom's house and still allowing him near Amber.

If I do decide to contact child protective services in their area, even if I can't provide them any solid evidence of Nick molesting her I can at least cite several obvious signs of neglect from her parents including her family's reaction to Nick's claims of molesting her, the condition of her teeth, Steven's physical abuse towards Nick, the mom's refusal to seek psychiatric help for Nick due to her bizarre religious delusions, etc. Hopefully that should be enough to at least warrant an investigation.
Not really doing this to get Nick busted (though I hope that happens as a side-effect), just purely out of concern and pity for Amber for having to live with such a fucked up family.
