The Canadian is Jessa, this girl a lot of the Tweets are sent to, who appears to be trying very, very, very hard to get Nick (who is also in my same general area, Tetsu, so I share your squick -- he mentioned visiting a park I've been by) to see reason to some tiny degree. Nick thinks that he and Anna are both infected with "U.S. genes" and apparently asked Jessa for some of her "DNA" so he could "become Canadian." Because that makes a great deal of sense.
From a quick skim of some of the Tweets, it looks like Nick has already been brought to the attention of the mental health system, and, to some degree, the legal system: he has some kind of case worker; he has a therapist, and basically all they ever talk about is Anna; and he's on medication -- apparently he's been on 72-hour psychiatric holds for making threats against his relatives, who take care of his life necessities, but for whom he has only contempt. In that way Nick reminds me not only of Chris, but of the babyfur freak Sharz Miguazin, with whom he shares an unfortunate fetish. I get the impression that he's not allowed to be around his half-sister anymore but that's as far as the family has taken things, for whatever reason.
I don't know why he's not in fucking jail, but it sounds like he richly deserves any pain he suffers from letting his teeth rot out because males might injure or maim him, because of fucking course, all dentists are male. I agree with Tetsu: Not A-Logging if true.
