Well fuck. Actually got through this whole thread. Days of reading. That was a ride. Fuckin' menumessages, breaking and entering dude, all the nice guy spergs that got threadbanned. Good shit. Have a small nice guy story to add.
A few years ago an old friend got in touch with me and said he'd be in town asked if I wanted to go for a beer and catch up. Dude was always pretty annoying and autistic, but hadn't seen him for a few years so what the hell.
Within like 10 minutes of talking and shit, dude mentions with like the smuggest grin I've ever seen, I'm not a virgin any more, proceeds to tell me a story about how he fucked some 40 year old woman he was helping with computer stuff like a month before. Immediately after that he starts going on about the typical nice guy shit, why don't girls give me a chance, I'm a nice dude and shit.
Back years before, when I worked with him, he was creepily obsessed with this waitress at a bar we'd go chill at sometimes, she was his neighbour and had a boyfriend, he'd hit on her constantly and she'd turn him down and all that.
Anyway, he starts going on about how 'this bitch' got him banned from the weed store because he was too nice. Apparently, he went in every day for a week straight and kept talking to the cashier that was there. He'd just hang out trying to hit on her with the whole m'lady shit while she was trying to deal with customers. She had a boyfriend, she'd told him repeatedly the cashiers were not allowed to talk to people while working all that kind of shit. Finally, after a week of that, he showed up there and went up to the cashier and asked her out on a date, security came up to him, the manager came up and they dragged him out of the store and told him never to come back.
His perception of it all, she's just a stuck up bitch who doesn't appreciate nice guys.

This thread has been hilarious (and a little scary at times) but it made me realize that I knew a truly prototype Nice Guy back some two decades before I first heard that term.
Back then, in my mind he was just “Mommies special little guy” because that was the best way I had to describe him. He was dating one of my friends during university. I will call her Dumbass from now on.
My friend was truly a dumbass, always ending up cooking for him so he actually ate something other than candy and fast food (“I might as well make two portions since I’m already cooking for myself!”) and doing his laundry for him (“I might as well do his too since I’m already washing mine! Last time he ran out of underwear, he went out to buy some and wore it before washing it. Tehee, isn’t that cute?”).
Mommies Special Little Guy was part of a super tightly knit friends-group back home, that had known each other since they were in diapers. For some reason, they had all grown up to be mega-Chads and super-Stacey’s. Like, ridiculously hot all of them, seriously. Like, when you see something with a friends group on TV and think “Yea, no 20-somethings look like that”, that kind of hot.
Well, all except Mommies Special Little Guy. He was just plain at best. He had such a massive chip on his shoulder about that, so I guess he made it his whole personality to be the nice guy, the fun guy instead.
So, he was the kind of person to bug everyone at a party and pester them with asking them if they were having fun and forcing alcohol on them and… Remember those comedy audio files that would be emailed around back on the early internet? Yea, he seriously had a collection of that on his phone, just to pester people with them and try to make them laugh. Imagine how much of a mood killer that is, if you´re hanging out on a Friday night, watching Jackass and just having a few beers with your friends. I couldn’t stand the guy.
I have a whole lot of stories from what I saw him do, and what I heard about from my friend, but I´ll just skip to the main story:
Mommies Special Little Guy tanked his economy to keep up with his self-image of being The Nice Guy.
When he graduated, he got a job offer in one of the least trendy cities around. He could easily have bought a small house, maybe even in walking distance of his job, right out of university. It would have been a dream start for just about any young adult. But that wasn’t good enough for Mommies Special Little Guy.
Instead, he literally sat down with a paper map, plotted in all his friends’ addresses and decided to move to the epicenter of it. “Because then everyone would come to him in the weekend” according to my moron friend.
The exact epicenter was a really expensive city to live in, and at least 1½ hours of drive away from his new work. Dumbass said she tried to talk him out of it, arguing that he needed to go to work 5 days a week and his friends (All actually functional adults) would rarely have time to come over in the weekends anyways.
It fell on deaf ears, so Mommies Special Little Guy got a loan for a flashy car for the 3 hours of commute he had every day.
Then he went looking for a rental. Now instead of just getting the standard bathroom-kitchen-living room-bedroom-maybe an office too?- type of beginners apartment that everyone else did, Mommies Special Little Guy decided he needed room for guests. Because of course his friends would be there all the time! He did, after all, live right in the epicenter! He was the nice guy, the funny guy!
So he found one, in the expensive city, with three bedrooms. Something meant for a family, but he was sure that every weekend, he would have several friends sleeping over.
Of course, that never happened, because his friends were actual functional adults with jobs and responsibilities. Most people stop wanting to hang out with beers and movies all weekend, and going to work mildly hungover Mondays around that age.
So now his mildly creepy plan left him with a big, expensive and empty apartment, an expensive and flashy car, and having to spend one eight of his day on just burning gas to get to work.
The last story I heard was that he had gotten into trouble with his bank. Dumbass had to help Mommies Special Little Guy find his financial papers and bills to put together a budget for his bank, because he kept falling behind on his loans. Unfortunately, this is where I lose contact with Mommies Special Little Guy because my Moron friend finally had enough of him.

Nice Guys aren't limited to incels. Some of them turn into male feminists, redditors and discord mods. It's also possible, although rare, for a Nice Guy to realize he's simply being a needy pussy and should try to change his ways.
I believe most young men have asked "why don't girls pick the nice guy" at one point in their life before figuring it out one way or another. Sometimes the guys never grow out of it, they just get a girl who is "ready to settle down" and think they won the prize.
