There was a recent 5.6 (Also reported to be a 6.4) earthquake that struck Nepal and was felt in India. There is a rising death toll from the impact with Jajarkot being severely affected.

All I need to know is if this will affect the Assam or Darjeeling harvests in the spring. If the answer is no, I am indifferent to mildly optimistic to these events, depending on whether or not it prevents more pajeets from leaving India.

That's sad, but they live right where one (sub)continent is pushing up into another continent, so massive earthquakes are to be expected.
