Isamu Fukui only cares about getting paid. I've no doubt he has a standing order about coddling industry people and that would open them up to targeted harassment complaints. A list like that would be too blatant and I'm sure it chafes the mods something fierce.

There's something incredible about how absolutely miserable the Female Character Design thread is, even when someone tries to be a little positive and bring in designs and characters they like they always get shot down by the most minute details, i couldn't even imagine what it must be like to be these people, truly insane.

It's not very incredible at all, really- the point of the thread is to get and stay mad. Therefore, anything posted in it will be used to get and stay mad. It's the same reason many DT threads focus on seething on a particular topic, and anything said to the contrary will just be used to justify the seethe.

Someone with an account on Era should create a thread dedicated to “self-criticism” where users would be invited to come and publicly shame themselves for their sins each time they catch a temporary ban.

I too enjoy basing a dead person's entire existence on old posts made 9 or 10 years ago. People never grow or change in any fashion.

It kind of blows my mind the absolute reverence that site gives to Jap media - the largely homogenous, capitalistic country whose financial model is based on slapping conventionally attractive characters and giant tits into media for the sole purpose of making a profit on merchandise. Japan doesn't give a shit about fringe politics, they just want to create fun escapism and make money off of it. Resetera will talk about the necessity of video game inclusivity and politically-fueled progressive narratives next to their anime profile pictures and it's just disingenuous to me. Those profile pictures are the only honest thing about them; they're like everyone else: they want fun, escapist narratives with giant titty anime girls, but will still continue to preach about how much video games need to be no-fun-allowed and politicized. It speaks volumes about how they really feel when their most bumped game threads are non-political Japanese shit like Genshin Impact and Animal Crossing
