I've been thinking about how it all works:
The worst people leave Neogaf to form Resetera. NeoGAF becomes a reasonable place and Resetera is a hell hole.
If the troons and their closest allies left Resetera to found a new forum, would it happen again? My thoughts are that it wouldn't, because the most reasonable people are still back at NeoGAF, and few of them stuck around in Resetera. It might have worked that way near Resetera's beginning, but over the last few years they've distilled the place down to just the crazies. I think that if the troon squad left, Resetera would collapse soon after.
