How miserable must these people be in their real lives to be so consumed with bitterness constantly? Just reading a handful of threads on there is making me feel miserable, I can't imagine being immersed in such a hateful climate for weeks and months on end. ResetERA is a forum populated by deeply unhappy people. Posting there must be bad for a lot of those users' mental health. It's a pity they don't get to enjoy the wholesome culture of a site like Kiwi Farms instead
My prediction about ResetERA is that it's decline will be gradual and nothing sudden or very dramatic will happen to the site as a whole. While the users and jannies are aware of the toxic culture of the site, they are powerless to do anything about it due to toxicity being a feature and not a bug of the critical race theory that their worldview is based on. Deep down, they are resigned to the forum being like that forever. Moderates and people who escape their brainwashing will simply leave the site, leaving a slowly declining core of hateful extremists to maintain the site culture as it is.
And to be fair to ResetERA, the site wears it's politics on it's sleeves so people know what the are signing up to. So there won't be any civil war that results in either the collapse or cleansing of ResetERA, unlike SomethingAwful which originally had a more politically moderate user base to lose in the first place. Maybe early on, but those users left or got banned pretty quickly so the ResetERA userbase now is made up of people who are largely aligned with the site's politics.
And they hate it. They hate knowing that there aren't any normal people in their threads to read their rants anymore. They hate knowing people can just exercise their choice to go elsewhere, and will keep making posts 'problematizing' other people's decisions to not be servile hostage audiences to their ravings. So I think the site's natural userbase itself will get increasingly tired of posting on ResetERA and will begin migrating elsewhere over time to websites which have more balanced demographics, so that they can get their dopamine hit from arguing with people.
You can see a similar dynamic on Reddit vs Saidit, whereas once all the gender critical subs got banned the trannies begun to get restless and started trying to pick fights with new subs (going after gay men more often) and actually following the radfems to Saidit to continue arguing with them. That's the thing about the woke types who claim that they desperately need to be protected and made safe: they are liars who are addicted to conflict and confrontation so once they have cleansed a social space of nonbelievers they still aren't happy.
