I have been thinking of some theories, but the one i keep arriving at is that reset needs a perpetual cycle of outrage in order to sustain itself. everytime there is a lull in the news they keep digging/bumping/repeating the "climate fuged" and muellers moves in the great game thread. Failing that, a member will threaten suicide or something. It's clear from the beginning that they're not interested in videogames, and without this basic struggle the forum would just cave in on itself. So if this blue wave is really a thing, it might kill itself sooner rather than later.

Edit: speaking of suicide, i owe this place an apology, the Chlorine Sagal thread on Reset was mine.

Why do these people insist on dictating what cyberpunk is supposed to be? This person clearly doesn't have a clue. Most cyberpunk tabletop games have a limit on cybernetics involving sanity/loss of humanity.

Really, it's just a setting. People holding it up as a serious pillar of their political beliefs need to... read a non-fiction book or something.

Specifically, Shadowrun has a system (https://shadowrun.gamepedia.com/Essence) where the more cybernetics you use, the less connected to the literal magic of the world you become. Shadowrun books are some of the first books you would grab if you were making a cyberpunk videogame (same way you would grab Dungeons and Dragons book if you were making a Swords and Sorcery RPG).

We can but hope. I'm surprised they didn't given that when she was actually making videos and not being a professional e-beggar, Saint Anita used the "sex cards" from Witcher 1 as an example of something problematic. To be fair, they were a bit cringeworthy and even CDPR, in Blood and Wine, poked fun at themselves over it.

Cyberpunk 2020, the tabletop game this is based off of, has a system where the more cyber implants you get, the closer you come to going balls crazy and murdering everything around you. The woman in the teaser trailer from years ago is clearly meant to be an example of a cyberpsycho, for example. CDPR is not pulling this thing out of their ass about heavily modified people coming with a stigma in society.
