The graphs seem to prove this but when they first started they made an effort to tolerate opinions they found unsavory outside of "Gamergate" and "transphobia"

I doubt that I'd be able to get 4000 posts on this current patch of Resetera.

Their uncritical acceptance of the press (the ones that agree with them) is downright disturbing.

Even press you agree with are humans prone to error, refusing to acknowledge that goes beyond partisanship,it's trying to ignore the fallibility of humanity.
 
So they ban people for "vilifying journalism" (whatever the hell that means) when they disagree with a motivated spin on a pretty clear cut story of an employee being extremely rude to a customer.

Any bans yet for bitching about the journalists over at Escapist choosing to be apolitical? No?

That's what I thought.

To even appear on the network graph you need to have sent at least 6 replies, or recieved 8. When someone only has one line drawn to them, it just means there was only one other node that also got surfaced onto the network to pair them with.


  • This is from the aforementioned Little Helper. Notice how many blue lines are drawn. This means the staff undertakes a shitton of actions based on what this user posts. This covers the willfully ban-bait part of your post.

That is a very early image that I said shouldn't be taken literally (as I noted before). It included red text posts and didn't properly mark actioned nodes. You're not wrong, but that image could potentially be seen as misleading (even though it's actually representative once you take out of the red text posts). Here's an updated image.

There's also a lot of hand wringing about the bot being hosted on Kiwifarms. I dunno what to say, it's just a front-end host. Null is my hosting provider and safe harbor. The scanning element of the bot is ran from an entirely different network.

You may have noticed the fallback GitHub account was deleted. It was because GitHub customer support noticed it after I kept pressing them for more information on ResetEra LLC. GitHub was never going to be a viable host long term, maybe Netlify would have been good (Neocities wasn't), or maybe they would have fallen over the second someone sneezed a half-baked takedown notice in their direction.

It's hard for hosting providers to justify taking even the slightest legal risk on your behalf when you pay them exactly 0$ a month. ResetEra LLC has no issue with sending out frivilious legal notices to "deplatform" websites. I'm sure they'd have no issues doxing and calling employers like was famously done on NeoGAF (by people who are current ResetEra users).

Null/Kiwifarms gives me the whole package, anonymous hosting, cloudflare protection, a subdomain, and most importantly it will not fall over to frivilious legal notices. This is not a marketing or branding strategy, it is an absolute necessity to run a controversial website in CURRENT YEAR.

Also added physics options to the network graph if you wanna fuck around, it's sort of fun.

As overused the work cuck might be, it fits this guy perfectly. Gets permabanned from ResetEra for absolutely no reason and then proceeds to go full damage control mode in "enemy territory". Stockholm Syndrome in effect.
