Came up earlier in the thread. NeoGAF never registered its logo and RetroGAF's monochrome, retrograde logo might skirt by as parody. I agree it should be changed though.

I am thinking more about the GAF part. I mean, you could change the name to Retro G.A.F. and keep the URL the same. Then claim GAF means something else right?

Nah, it's a different name with a derivative from a soon to be defunct group or company frankly.
"At a glance" you'd know they're very different beasts as well due to the naming. Just because part of a name is the same doesn't mean it would confuse every day folks.

I think only NeoGAF was trademarked, not the image, though you could contact their attorney Jessica Tam about the details on what was all trademarked.
