Sorry to be autistic and answer my own question, but I think it's because they flat out don't know Trump. They know impressions of him, they know what people say about him, they know what the echo chamber told them. They are the allegory of the cave IRL.

Well, if there was a massive decline in vieweship, Trump would absolutely be mad about it. Trump lives on the attention, thats his personality.

But what in the fuck does Resetera hope to do by calling for a sitewide boycott? So instead of 35,000,000 viewers, he gets 34,999,950 viewers?

Your mistake is you assume they would have watched it were it not for the boycott.

This is exactly the same reason they boycott buying a Tesla. Ignoring they are broke and could not afford one even if they wanted to.
Those are things that make it real easy to join a protest/boycott.

It never stops being hilarious to me that even though this Israel Palestine war has been going on for literally the entire lives of every poster on Era, it has become the most important thing in the galaxy after their NPC brain chips got swapped out. Now they have to support boycotts because a multi-billion dollar company has six degrees of separation from someone dying in a war. Absolute retardation, these people have no real principles or beliefs, they simply believe whatever they are told.

Most of them are hiding in the PC gaming discord and in the 3 years i'm in there i have seen Uzzy troon out but also the mod running it like it's his personal fief "Stop It" is now gender non-binary and sliding down the rabbithole at a steady pace. He's autistic and also seems to been passing down that programming to his son (make him do wierd shit like making rainbow christmas decorations and such).

They literally cannot talk about anything other than genders and starmer. It must be so tiresome being br*tish.
