Resetera is like DSP in that they are practically invincible. Mass bannings? Userbase still crawls right back. Pedo servers? They just cover their ears and sing to drown out the noise. The Etika controvery a while back? All but forgotten. I don't think it will melt down, given how they keep getting their way and devs/journalists keep taking them seriously. Would love to be proven wrong but if anything they just keep getting more extreme.

Once ResetERA is gone it will be dancing crabs all over the gaming and weeb communities as they are the source of many doxing and censorship campaigns. Once RE goes down maybe weebs can just be left alone without these social justice warriors trying to pull strings. I know, and I get what you mean. They wouldn't stop at this point. Honestly.
But didn't we see the userbase per day drop little by little per day? Heck, summer has not ended yet and there are still drops each days. Sometimes there may be burst in popularity due to controversies, but that's it..
As more peoples make a backlash at the ERA community, more peoples will drop. I get what you mean, but it just can't last forever...
Honestly, I'm sorry if I seem like I'm repeating myself. I'm just a little torn in pieces at their umpeeth attempt to ruin something.

These people are deranged, mentally ill, losers and every day in their lives is a struggle when they get up and see PewDiePie has released a new video and Netflix has a new Dave Chapelle standup comedy (Dave has killed 1,000 troons over the last year). It's non-stop tears, rage, stress, depression, anxiety and sitting around circle-jerking other randoms on the internet (because they have no real life friends), some of which are us, pretending/trolling, for a drop of sympathy/having their views agreed with.
But there's little point in getting genuinely angry. Just enjoy the ride and laugh your ass off. No one likes these people. Companies/developers occassionally bend the knee, but it's actually good when they do, as when a company/dev tries to appease them and hilariously fails it shows others why you tell these people no, not listening, go away. You were never going to buy our game, away play Gone Home and Dream Daddy for the 100th time.
The userbase has stagnated/is on the decline, and more often now you see "User Deleted" accounts. It'll be a slow bleedout like NeoGAF was (while the community ignores facts in front of them, like GAF, due to fear of mods), but history always repeats itself. Even with Isamu Fukui hiding right now to make as much money as possible without stepping on a landmine of his own creation, his day will come.
The community lusts for banning and immaginary Nazi's have to be everywhere all the time, even at 9,500 bans now. There is no point where Resetera has banned all the Nazis as the userbase needs and demands daily blood sacrifices. Users on this forum have genuinely hit the report button thousands of times. When their numbers shrink the Overton window shrinks more and more till they turn on their own woke leftists for not being truly woke enough. The normies get banned first, then the purge begins with those who genuinely love troon dick but might have once laughed on Twitter at a joke 8 years ago.

This is why one should wait when stuff like this happens, cause 9 times outta 10, they end up apologizing right away and you just waste your money for nothing for supporting them.Game Informer has just reported that the devs have caved to pressure.
Even when as shown here their pressure was comically ineffective, ResetEra still manages to get results.

It is a pretty decent game and it's clear the devs aren't really cucked, but rolling the dice on PR appeasal. Which never works anyway and they should start learning that. So still, fuck them for caving to the likes of Resetera.
