Nelson Sullivan was a pianist from New York who happened to have an interest in documenting himself and his life surrounded by many prominent NYC LGBT people such as RuPaul. Nelson was also a contemporary of Tom Rubnitz, of Pickle Surprise fame.

Nelson recorded thousands of hours of video in the span of six years or so before passing away at the age of 39 in 1989.
